Do you live near an IKEA? We have one about 10 minutes from our house — it’s basically as close as our closest Target. Because it’s so convenient, I feel like I can stop by when I need a dose of inspiration — or just to pick up a box of cinnamon rolls. And I didn’t realize this until a couple of months ago, but every 3 weeks or so, they introduce new mini-collections with guest designers. The collections are typically limited-time only, and no surprise, the best pieces often sell out lightening fast. Once I figured out about the mini-collections, I started trying to drop by more often, just to see what’s new.

I was there yesterday, and they had just set out (as in they were literally finishing the display while I was shopping) a collection called HJÄRTELIG. (Which I don’t know how to pronounce. But no matter.) It was designed by Maja Ganszyniec and Andreas Fredriksson, and it definitely caught my eye. It’s only going to be around for a few weeks, and I predict these 8 pieces will sell out first:

Two of my favorite pieces are in this image. 1) That nightstand/side table is really, really good — metal and wood, small footprint, great proportions. And I’m kind of obsessed with 2) the wooden platforms. You can use one on its own as a low table. You can use one as pictured — with those awesome floor cushions. Or you can top two of them with a twin mattress (or four of them with a queen mattress — there’s an image of this below if you want to see what it looks like).

I’m also digging 3) the lidded low basket. The lid flips over and makes a really practical tray. I have a thing for woven basket trays. And 4) those terracotta pots come with built in plant-scaffolding (or would I call that a trellis?).

There are tons of handsome tabletop pieces too — like 5) a pretty carafe and 6) heavy glass jewelry dishes that almost look like they’re made of amber. Oh. And there’s this 7) really airy, ethereal canopy (you can see it best in the top image). But if you want one, grab it today, because I asked at our local store, and they said they only have thirteen, and once they’re gone, they’re gone.

There’s even 8) a simple, sturdy yoga bag in unbleached cotton.

The whole collection has a really delicate feel, and I love that it’s focused on natural materials — lots of linen, rattan and glass. I feel like the display was very calming, an invitation to hit pause for a minute. I keep calling it the yoga-inspired collection. : ) The colors and materials totally remind me of our Treehouse Living Room.

How often do you make it to Ikea? Have you ever noticed the limited-time-only collections? And how do you handle jewelry storage? I use stackable trays from The Container Store for mine, and I keep them in my bedroom closet.

P.S. — Pro-tip. If you can’t find the item you want in-store or on the IKEA website, check Amazon. Ikea stuff pops up there all the time. Also, here are all my favorites from the collection in one spot (the color combo on those linen pillows is 5-stars):
