Podcast Interview: Home Design as Self Care by popular lifestyle blogger, Design Mom

Hey there podcast junkies! I know I’ve already mentioned this, but I’m working on launching a podcast to mark the 12 year anniversary of Design Mom (which happens in July). In the meantime, I thought you might enjoy a podcast interview I did when I was in Pasadena earlier this month.

Podcast Interview:

The podcast is called Selfie, and the co-hosts are Kristen Howerton of Rage Against the Minivan and Sarah James of Whoorl. I sure love both of these women — the way Kristen thinks about current events and social issues always informs my own views, and I never make a new beauty purchase without checking Sarah’s well-researched opinion on it first.

In the podcast, we talk about how design can be a form of self-care, with a few tips for creating a zen space that makes you feel good (the interview with me starts around the 26 minute mark). Also, Kristen shares about her new weighted blanket obsession and Sarah recounts an embarrassing encounter with a few of their listeners.

I’d love your thoughts on the topic. Have you ever considered design as a form of self care?
