Olive Us: Spring Flower Bouquet

By Gabrielle.

Happy Spring! I believe today is the official first day of the new season. I thought it would be fun to mark the moment by sharing a fitting Olive Us episode: Spring Flower Bouquet.

Every Spring in Normandy, the jonquils (miniature daffodils) would grow wild along the roads and hillsides. Our kids would collect fistfuls — even armfuls — and we would have bouquets all over the house. It was such a sunny, happy thing, and such a wonderful way to greet the new season. So this episode is all about collecting and sharing that happiness. I hope you enjoy it!

Tell me, Friends. Ignoring what the calendar says, has spring actually arrived at your house? Or is the snow still coming down? And do any wild flowers grow where you live?

  1. How wonderful these videos will be to look back on as your children grow! I love how the yellow daffodils pop against their blue clothing, and the close ups of their beautiful faces.
Today it did actually feel spring like in eastern Pennsylvania, the sun came out for part of the day, and then the wind picked up. I have little sprouts for daffodils coming up, but only near the stone walls of our farmhouse. We still have piles of snow that haven’t melted yet, and a hint of more snow possible in the coming week. I was thankful for this little peek at spring today. It’s been a long and snow filled winter.

  2. This is so beautiful. I mean really really really beautiful. Thank you for representing family is such an amazing way.
