Polarn O. Pyret Giveaway

Another amazing Giveaway today. And it's perfectly timed for the season. It's a pretty good bet that sometime in the last couple of weeks, you've considered your children's (or your own) winter wear. Will you be skiing this year? Will there be snow? Do his snow boots still fit? Has she outgrown her coat? Are there mittens missing?

Well, today, the Swedish company Polarn O. Pyret (that's a mouthful, I know) will be setting you up. The winner will get to pick out any outerwear top and any outerwear bottom from their site. Or. Any outerwear “all-in-one” — like a snowsuit or bunting. The top and bottom can be any combo that the winner chooses. A fleece and ski pants for instance, or a winter jacket and snowboarder pants. You'll basically be getting about $200 in outerwear. Pretty rad, right?

People. The Swedes are serious about dressing their kids appropriately for the weather and this earnestness is represented by Polarn O. Pyret's outerwear. Where all kinds of attention has been paid to the little details, ensuring that kids stay warm and dry. Also, their winter outerwear is so function and performance driven that it is not only great for the playground but also for the ski slopes.

Take at look at the site and daydream about what you'll pick out if you win. If Polarn O. Pyret is new-to-you, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how design-driven the company is. Just leave a comment and you're entered to win. I'll post a winner on Monday, November 9th.

UPDATE BONUS: Polarn O. Pyret has offered a generous 30% off, plus free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Exclusively for Design Mom Readers. Sweet! Just use the promo code: DMPOP

Yay for winter prep!

Darlybird Giveaway

Hello Friends! Get ready to do some shopping. I've got a $150 gift certificate to Darlybird for one lucky winner. You already know Darlybird is the go-to spot when you're looking for an eclectic and charming collection of gifts, homegoods and happy little objects. Where else can you find things like a velvet ruffle purse, a necklace made of wool, and this gorgeous leather bracelet? Plus, Darlybird totally gets that spending has slowed for just about everybody — and they created the bargain-priced Recessionista Collection in response.

Leave a comment to enter. I'll pick a winner on Monday, September 28th. UPDATE: Rachel of Darlybird has generously offered a 20% discount on purchases to Design Mom Readers. Fabulous! Just use the code DESIGNMOM at checkout.

Plus also. Here's a little related blogging history. Darlybird was my very first Giveaway sponsor back in the day. Which is awesome. Here's the (longish) story:

In November of 2006, I hosted my first Giveaway. I had been blogging for 4 months. I was watching my stats and knew I had about 200 readers a day. But I had very few comments. So I conceived of a contest where I would get a company to sponsor a prize and I would have people enter by commenting. I realize this happens all the time on thousands and thousands of blogs today, but at the time, no personal blogs that I knew of had done such a thing. Maybe they'd given away an object from their house as a semi-joke, but that's it. There were no sponsored giveaways except on corporate blogs and sites. And even those were fairly rare. The point being: my little giveaway was the first that I'd seen.

I contacted Darlybird, who I had already posted about earlier, and let the owner, Rachel, know about my plan to encourage comments and promote her shop at the same time. She got on board asap with some great prizes. And I posted the giveaway with much apprehension. Would anyone enter? Would there be cheating? Was this a bad idea?

But it worked! About half my visitors left a comment. It's fun to read them in retrospect. A few were suspicious: Is this a blogroll trick? they asked. Others were delighted with this new concept — GirlconQueso called me the next Oprah. It was amazing. Even more amazing: within the month, personal blogs all over the place adopted the same model — copying and pasting instructions from my blog, or adapting their own. And the giveaway scene was born.

I've been told my Darlybird giveaway was the first sponsored, comment-to-enter giveaway on a personal blog. I have no idea if that's true or not. But it would be interesting to know. At this point, it's hard to even remember blogging before giveaways. : )

Yay for Darlybird and giveaways!

-------------------

Update: Congratulations to Nellie! You are the lucky winner. Have a fabulous time shopping at
Darlybird.

JacQueline Sanchez Giveaway

What a day. A great day! We registered Ralph for Middle School this morning. (He's memorizing his locker combination as I type. I'll probably cry if I think about it too long.) Our dear friends, the Rathers, are planning to stop by for lunch on their drive back to Kansas. And tonight, we have a family picnic to attend, hosted by our Elementary School. All good things.

I'm betting most Moms are sharing equally busy, happy schedules this month and I've got the perfect giveaway to acknowledge our hard work. A Forever Young Pendant, worth $250, from JacQueline Sanchez Jewelry! It's made of something sparkly to remind us how bling-worthy we are. And it's made of something playful to remind us of our fantastic kids.

No doubt you want all the details, so here they are: the prize pendant is sterling silver with a sandblasted Lego and a 3 pt. diamond set in 14kt yellow gold. It's hung from a rubber cord that is 16" long with sterling silver lobster claw. And if you haven't heard, the Forever Young line has won several awards and has been embraced by the Lego corporation. (Smart move, Lego.) So you'll be wearing your necklace in good company.

Thanks to JacQueline Sanchez for sponsoring the bling! L

Mayflower Giveaway

Doesn't it feel like a good day for a Giveaway? I think so too. So how does this sound: win a $150 Gift Card to Home Depot by leaving a comment below. I'm not even kidding. $150 to spend as you please. On new paint. Or a new drill. Or maybe the materials to build a giant table.

Remember how awesome Mayflower was during the big move from New York to Colorado? Well. To thank them, I offered up a Giveaway spot. And they said: Sure thing! How about a gift card to Home Depot because we know how often home improvement projects are part of a move — both before and after. And I said: Right on.

I can hardly believe it, but our move was a full 2 months ago. Amazing. I loved looking through our photos of the big day and remembering the awesome crew.

So thanks to Mayflower for giving us this fab prize. I hope it inspires you to do/make/build something fun. And for those of you who are planning to move, or mid-move, or just moved, maybe a prize like this will help relieve some of the stress.

Speaking of which. So many of you gave me such great advice on how to make the move as stress-free as possible. I'd love to hear more. What are your best moving tips? Your best moving advice?

John Segal Giveaway

Well hello there! Today's Giveaway has 10 prizes. Which means 10 winners

My family owns at least 3 titles in the John Segal library and every single one is a hit with my kids. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of Far Far Away — I'm already loving the sneak peeks and blurbs I found on John's blog.

Whether you win or not, there's a pretty cool consolation prize. Email John at

Giveaway — Two Baby Star Totes

Friends! Today's Giveaway is double the fun. Two winners will each receive a Rock the Tote diaper bag from Baby Star. Fabulous! Why I like them: they were designed with room and pockets for everything I need to carry — including a laptop. Plus, they come with a matching changing pad and wipe case. All Baby Star products are PBA-free, formaldehyde-free and AZO-free. I don't even know what all that means, but it's reassuring none-the-less. The totes
retail for $88 each.

Oh! Extra-bonus: get a generous 30% off(!) at Baby Star by using the code 20twinkle09.

Winners get to pick from lots of patterns and metallics — I think my favorite is
four square blue. Leave a comment to enter and have a fantastic weekend. I'll post the winners on Monday.

Congratulations to Rob, Michelle and Luke Greer and Maline — you are the lucky winners! Please send me an email with your shipping address and bag pick.

Giveaway — Chick Chair from Mahar Drygoods

Is it true? Am I really hosting back to back Giveaways? One ends yesterday, another starts today?

Yes. It's completely true. I've got another great Giveaway today. And I've even got another one to tell you about this Thursday. So keep coming back. Keep entering. Because you know I only host the best sorts of Giveaways. Period.

Today's Giveaway sponsor is one of my favorite little shops in the world. Mahar Drygoods. You've seen them featured here before, but just in case you've forgotten, let's recap what they're all about. Mahar offers vintage and artisan crafted items for children. Often handmade, always beautiful. And the prize they're sponsoring today is quite incredible. Take a peek:

It's the Chick Chair. By Roebuck Studio. It's both adorable and functional. It's completely covetable and comes in six different colors (the prize chair is the black one pictured). It was even featured in Cookie Magazine this month. And it retails for $220.00. Isn't it charming pictured in that delightful bedroom? Isn't the scale just right?

Roebuck Studio is the brilliant collaboration of husband and wife team Kate and Barret Roebuck. Their furniture is beautiful, functional, durable, and created in an environmentally responsible way. Based in historic Chelsea, Michigan, the Roebucks manufacture locally, buy materials from local sources and have complete control over the fabrication process, to ensure that only the best and safest products will reach your doorstep.

Roebuck Studio is exactly the kind of quality artisan that Mahar Drygoods makes a point to feature and stock. Which is one of the reasons I'm such a Mahar fan. Take a minute and check out all the Spring goodies that Mahar is stocking right now — from a tie-dye egg kit to this bunny scooter — your heart is sure to melt from all the sweetness.

Let's all give a big thank you
to Mahar Drygoods!

Gwen & Joel's Wedding

It was beautiful and sweet. During the ceremony, Gwen wore a gorgeous white gown by J Crew. Joel wore Converse. And then it turned into a great big party. See more pics and more deets here.

In other kirtsy related news. A lucky someone is going to win an all-in-one HP Printer, some luxe headphones by V-Moda, and $100 off a pair of brand new boots — just by leaving a comment on the kirtsy blog. That's almost $400 of goodies. The Giveaway was just listed. Only four comments so far. Which makes for some good odds.

Pingg Evites by Martha Stewart

Have you seen the latest designer series at Pingg? It's by
Martha Stewart. The photos are gorgeous. Of course.

Don't know what Pingg is? It's a company making a prettier version of free email invites.

By the way. Does anyone else remember the Martha Stewart Living with the pinwheels on the cover? It was from one of the first years the magazine was published. I remember using the instructions to make pinwheels for Ralph's first birthday. I gave them out as invitations and used them to top the cake. They were so pretty.

Also. Do you know what else is pretty? Sheets from Serena & Lily. And you can win a set free. Just scroll down or click here to enter my current Giveaway.

Giveaway — Sheet Set from Serena & Lily

Friends. Dear friends. I've got another gorgeous Giveaway today.

You know Serena & Lily? I've partnered with them on 3 or 4 different contests. And the feedback I get over and over from you guys is: we heart Serena & Lily — more Serena & Lily please — keep the Serena & Lily products coming our way... My response: done and done.

Enter your comment now to win a sheet set from
Serena & Lily. Any sheet set. Any style. Any size. Winner's choice. Woot! Woot!

Let's be honest. This couldn't come at a better time. Even with snow still on the ground, March is officially here and we can't help but think of Spring and warmer weather that is sure to come our way. No doubt, all of our homes could use a little freshening up. A little spring cleaning. It is certain that a brand new set of sheets (free sheets!) will do the trick.

You could pick sheets for your child's bed. Or (more fun) sheets for your own bed. Either way you can't go wrong. You may already know that I love the Serena & Lily concept of children's rooms. Nothing too cutesy-cheesy. No commercial characters. Somehow sophisticated and child-friendly at the same time. Plus super high quality.

But it's not just kid's bedding anymore. Serena & Lily have expanded their line. You can find many of their sheet sets in queen and king now. In fact they have a whole section on their website featuring their luxurious grownup offerings. Like the Tess and Fiona. Gorgeous right? I'm thinking they're my new Serena & Lily favorites. Very up-to-date. Great colors.

If you don't already subscribe to their catalog, I highly recommend it. It's full of dozens of inspiring shots — all sorts of interior design eye candy. You can ask for their free catalog here.

Thanks,
Serena & Lily!

Giveaway — Poloppo T-Me Kits

Remember the fab draw-your-own-tee kits I posted about a few weeks ago? Well the feedback on the tees was basically: Yes, please! So I said: Your wish is my command. And I set up a Giveaway immediately: Five T-me Kits from Poloppo for five lucky winners!

The kit comes with everything you need: paper, markers, clear instructions, and a pre-paid envelope. You put your little artist to work. Mail in their drawing. And a couple of weeks later you get back a t-shirt featuring their very own masterpiece.

Poloppo offers several t-shirt styles and colors in sizes for babies, kids and adults. So you could also use this kit to make a Father's Day gift or a surprise for Grandma — even multiple items with the same drawing. But I'd recommend getting at least one tee in child size, because you know your child is going to love-with-a-capital-L wearing
a shirt featuring her own creation. The trick will be getting her to wear anything else.

Many thanks to Poloppo!

Giveaway — Business Minded Ladies

Goodness. There's a whole lot happening this month with women and social media. Women everywhere, who started blogging or twittering or podcasting on a whim (like myself) have seen a lot of potential for growth and opportunity in this emerging field. And we're getting together right and left to talk about things and get ideas and share our knowledge.

Sometimes these get togethers are simple meetups over drinks. Other times, the conversations turn into full-blown conferences. Last week, ladies all over the country attended Blissdom. Next week, ladies all over the country will be heading to Houston for Mom 2.0. (I'm one of the speakers and kirtsy is putting it on — so I'm super excited about it.)

Anyway. The point of all this is that I thought it would be great to celebrate the fact that women who didn't consider themselves business-y at all, are getting all entrepreneurial on us. Thanks to social media. So the prizes for the Design Mom Giveaway today are all about these women. Five winners in all!

TWO of you will win Peek email devices. (Cherry red ones, of course. Because it's Valentine's Day this weekend.)

You've probably heard about Peek already. It's brilliant. And it's getting written up like crazy by all the major media — receiving rave reviews right and left. Think of Peek as blackberry-lite. It provides email. Period. In a very less is more sort of way. Perfect for the mom who's running errands all day and wishes she could check her email from time to time. Peek is a great companion to her basic-cell-phone-that-works-just-fine-thank-you-very-much. And it's perfectly easy to use. You can explore the device in depth here.

This is where Peek is extra brilliant. The bells and whistles that a smartphone provide are cool, but you have to pay for them. The phones are expensive and the monthly plans that go with them are astronomical and often, binding for years. But the Peek offers unlimited email and texting for just $19.95 each month. No contracts. Ever. With coverage all over the country. Plus they're super sleek.

Honestly — unless you're a hard core tech person, Peek is all the email gadget you'll ever want or need.

THREE of you will win 1000 business cards, custom printed just for you by AllBusinessCards.com.

The thing to do at these meetups and conferences and Hands on Kirtsy sessions is exchange cards. Something that lists your blog url or twitter handle. So that people can find you after the conference. But I know as well as anybody, that when you're just starting up a business or a blog, and you're not even sure where you're going to go with it, that spending even a few dollars on supplies or marketing materials is painful.

Free business cards will ease your conference expenses in a real way.
And
AllBusinessCards.com will make it easy for you to get them. You can design your card online using their tools. Or upload a file your graphic designer brother made for you. Either way, they'll print and ship them to you pronto.

You've got your Peek. You've got you're business cards. Looks like you're ready to attend a social media conference. Go you! And a big thank you to
Peek and AllBusinessCards.com.

By the way, if you're itching to exchange business cards right this minute and you're in Utah, there's an opportunity tonight. Startup Princess is holding a Twitter-pated event to teach women how to use this fun tool. Plus, my sister-in-law Liz Stanley will be there schooling women on how to make the most of kirtsy. Find out more here.

Random Giveaway — $150+ at Seven Smooches

Oh my goodness, I am craving a Giveaway. A really good Giveaway. And I've got one.
The ladies at the handmade heaven, Seven Smooches, are the sponsors. They're putting up a $150 Gift Certificate for their shop! Plus. A gorgeous Lavender Filled Dove — to calm and comfort you during this troubled winter.

Don't those doves look endlessly cozy? As I've mentioned before, the products coming out of the Seven Smooches shop are gorgeous.
And because of the nature of the source materials, every single item is one of a kind. One of a kind. The fall/winter line is made from recycled sweaters. The spring/summer line is made from recycled sheets and feedsacks. Everything is super soft and full of tiny delicate details. All while remaining fully machine washable.

If I had $150 to spend on Seven Smooches products, I don't think I would stop smiling for a week. And I'd have quite the time deciding what to buy. Because each item is prettier than the next. Since it's so chilly this month, the Fall/Winter collection of mittens and sweaters and cozies seem the most tempting.

But maybe I'd pick up something from the Spring/Summer collection instead (the skimmers! the pillow slip! the bonnet!) and stare at it until I willed an early arrival of warm weather.

I want to note, the little dove is accompanied by a little message:

May each day of this year be lovely and kind, full of peace and joy, greeting you like a smile from a child. And my our little dove made of cozy cashmere & calming lavender bring you a bit of comfort, a moment of peace, & a needed smile.

I'm comforted already. Thank you for the generous prize, Seven Smooches!

Winner — Cirque du Soleil Wintuck Tickets

Wow. The countdown to Christmas is really here. We have a few more errands to run. A few more gifts to make. Lots of things to wrap. Wednesday we're going to the Train Show at the Botanical Gardens. This afternoon, Olive and I are spending the day window-shopping with a few friends and their daughters. We'll hit the holiday boutiques at Grand Central. Takashimaya. The Windows at Bergdorfs.

Promise not to laugh? We put up a second Christmas tree last night. Our first one was so sad and dead I kept getting depressed every time I walked by. So Ben Blair brought home a fresh one and we decorated it last night. It happens to have the crookedest trunk ever, and took some pruning and propping to get it upright, but it turned out wonderfully. And smells so good. Best decision ever.

But you're not reading this post to get a report on my weekend. You're reading this to find out who won the Wintuck Tickets. So let's get to it. A happy congratulations go to: Kage who said, "Design Mom, it's time for me to win. It is definitely time.

Hooray for Kage! Please email me and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor right away. Thank you all so much for participating. And a special thank you to Cirque du Soleil Wintuk for sponsoring the Giveaway.

Wintuk Giveaway

One last pre-Christmas Giveaway! You can win 4 tickets to Cirque Du Soleil's Wintuk at Madison Square Garden.

I'm such a fan of Cirque. I remember the first time I attended a show, I started getting weepy because it was just so beautiful. The acrobatics and feats are amazing and daring and exciting. But mostly, I'm in awe that there are people in the world that can create something so pretty and interesting.

The 4 tickets are for December 28th at 2:00 — the perfect winter-break activity! The show is sure to psyche you up for a few more months of beautiful winter and get you craving snow. Guess what else? You can get 25% off ticket purchases through December 19th with the code: ONE2ONE. Tickets range from $52 to 105 — so be sure to take advantage of that generous discount!

If you'll be in New York on the 28th. Or know someone else who will be. You'll want to win these tickets.

Random Giveaway — Klutz Prize Package

I've got a super generous Giveaway this week. And it's from one of my favorite companies. One lucky winner will basically have their Christmas shopping done for them. Because they'll receive a collection of Seven
Klutz Activity Books, plus a $50 Visa Gift Card. Something for everyone — girls, boys, all ages. Take a look at the prize package:

Window Art
Perfect for those too-cold-to-be-outside days.
Thumb Doodles
The sort of art project everyone can do and love.

Paper Fashions Fancy
It's like paper dolls on steroids.
Short Stuffs
For the little ones — create your own no-sew animals.

Battery Science
Remember chemistry sets? This is even more fun.
Velvet Art
Because no house is complete with a Velvet Elvis.

The Encyclopedia of Immaturity
Ralph really wants this one — a good pick for any curious kid in the 9-12 range.

Plus. A $50 Visa Gift Card. So you can pick out even more klutz titles at your local craft or book store.

That's almost $200 worth of Klutz goodies! As I said before, Klutz is one of my favorite companies. Their kits and instructions are well written and clear. Easy to follow with great photography. The materials are quality. And they seem to understand how kids think and what kids like.

All craft kits/books are not created equal. I've found Klutz products to be consistently excellent. Plus, my kids LOVE Klutz books. We own at least a dozen. The potholder kit. The paper airplane book. The castle building cards. Klutz products are my no fail gift for birthdays and holidays.

For those of you who don't win, Klutz is offering a pretty fantastic parting gift: you can get Free Shipping plus a Free copy of their award winning Activity Book when you spend $50! The activity book is called “The Only Coloring, Puzzle, Game, Dot-to Dot Activity Book You'll Ever Need." It's valued at $14.95 and will be added to your shopping cart once you hit the $50 mark.
This offer is only available for a limited time, so don't miss out.

Happy Commenting. Happy December. Thank you, Klutz!

Random Giveaway — I'm Thankful for Creative Women

A few of the things I'm thankful for this year:

1) People who read Design Mom. This community makes my day, every day. I love the email you send with suggestions and ideas. I love the comments you leave. I love that this is a positive, happy, creative place. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for telling your friends about my blog.
Thank you for reading.

2) Good news about Nie Nie's recovery. For those of you following the story, Stephanie is awake and has been moved to a rehab center in Utah. Reading updates about her progress makes me tear up. I love the Nielson family. Which reminds me. There are still many, many events and fundraisers happening on Stephanie and Christian's behalf — like here and here and here. You can read about them all at Nie Recovery.

3) Creative People. I'm inspired by the makers and doers around me. Crafters. Artists. Patient mothers. I love knowing so many people who are building a life they love.
Brick by brick. Like Noelle, Molly and Stephanie — who promote and support artists every year at the Beehive Bazaar. And gain their own personal satisfaction by doing so. I heart creativity in all it's forms.

How about I try to demonstrate a little (tiny) bit of my gratitude with a Giveaway. Featuring seven companies started and run by creative women. Eleven items. Going to eleven different winners. Here's what's up for grabs:

- 100 mommy calling cards from Sophie & Spice
Because motherhood is a job. You may as well make it official with some cards.

- Two bags, one large and one medium, from Wet Happened
Wet in fact does happen. And now you'll have cute, practical bags to carry the wet mess until you can get to the laundry.

-
Two wipes cases from Made by Angie
If you're going to carry a wipes case. And you are. Why not carry a cute one?

- A tutu and cape from Ellie Bellie Kids
Every kid in the world thinks they're a superhero or princess or both. Make it real with a fab cape or tutu.

- A Tiny-Tales kit and babysitter notes from Tiny Tales
Record keeping made easy. Tiny Tales does the thinking for you.

- A plush blanket from Mairzey Dotes
Because 9 times out of 10, when something happens to your little one, the first thing you reach for is a blanket. You can't have enough.

- And a Birth Necklace Square — with up to two pendants — from Julian and Co.

Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous. A little bit of understated bling never hurt anyone.

Pretty things for pretty ladies. Made by other pretty ladies. Fabulosity all around.
Please know that my gratitude for you is completely and totally sincere. You make my day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

kisses,
Gabrielle

Winner — Epson Artisan 800 Printer Giveaway

It's a great new week — Thanksgiving is so close — I can taste it already. And it was wonderful to arrive at my desk this morning to find there were 1300 entries on last Thursday's giveaway. I think this may be a record at Design Mom — 1300(!) entries. Good to know you like Epson Printers.

Big congratulations go to: MMW who said, "May the gods of Random.org pick me. Thanks Design Mom."

Hooray for MMW! Please email me and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor right away. Thank you all so much for participating. And a special thank you to Epson for sponsoring the Giveaway.

Random Giveaway — Epson Artisan 800 Printer

Oh my goodness. I've got a great Giveaway for you today. I'm just going to tell you right out: Epson has sponsored an Artison 800 All-in-one Printer for the prize. It's a beautiful piece of equipment:

And ladies, it prints like a dream. A dream. I heart this printer. The last two printers I've owned were both freebies/mail-in-rebates attached to computer purchases. They were generally small and wimpy and always felt a bit inadequate. But the Artison 800 feels substantial. It's the real deal. It's big. It's powerful. It's fast.
It's a $300 printer. And it does everything you need it to do. Everything? Yes, everything.

Let's talk specifics: It scans, it copies, it prints, it faxes. It's got wifi networking — so that you can print from any computer in the house. It can print professional quality CD and DVDs. And it will even turn your photos into coloring book pages if you ask it nicely.

And because a $300 printer just isn't enough, Epson is throwing in more fun stuff to the pot:
- Epson 5x7” photo paper (20 sheet pack)
- Iron-On Cool Peel Tranfer (10 sheet pack)
- Premium Matte Scrapbook Photo Paper (20 sheet pack)

The holidays are here. The economy is slow. And everybody's thinking handmade gifts are the way to go this year. The Artisan 800 is the way to make handmade handsome. Print pretty labels for your homemade jam. Print cute packaging for your holiday cookies. Print photos of the kiddies for Grandma and Grandpa. Ultra Hi-Definition photos printed on the Artisan 800 last 4 times longer than photo lab prints, plus they're smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant — are you thinking Christmas cards? Me too!

In the market for a new printer? This is the one.
And this is the time, because Epson has a great deal going on. You can get the Artisan 800 for $70 off. Sweet.

It so much fun to ponder all the wonderful things a lucky winner will get to do with this printer. Happy commenting! And thank you to Epson.

Random Giveaway — Orla Kiely Handbag, plus $150 Gift Certificate from All About Cute

I'm feeling pretty celebratory — for all sorts of reasons — so how about a super-cool Giveaway? Actually. How about a super-cool Double Giveaway! There's a new shop out there called All About Cute (great name!). And they want to give you something.

First off, they want to give you a Boulevard Laminated Shoulder Bag. And it's fantastic. See?:

Lots to love about this prize. It's a handbag — can't have enough of those. It's covered in lollipop trees — which makes it match my celebratory mood. And it's designed by Orla Kiely, and crafted from her signature laminated cotton-canvas — so I can't help but covet it. Probably the best part about this bag is that you can win it for free! And make all your friends jealous.

But there's more. Say you don't particularly need the handbag (maybe because you're an Orla Kiely fan and have two of these bags in your possession already). Then you should know, there's also an additional prize. For an additional winner. It's a $150 gift certificate to All About Cute. With which you can buy whatever you'd like. Cute things like this Apple Blossom Hoodie. And this You Will Be Loved sterling silver necklace.

One of things I am grateful for in my time-crunched world: people who pare down the choices for me, saving me time and brain power. The buyers for All About Cute are those sorts of people. They have put together a great collection of pretty clothes and accessories. For gifts. For a treat for yourself.

There's one more treat I need to tell you about. To keep the celebration going on, All About Cute is offering 30% off on their entire store!! Just enter the code: design. So generous!

Happy commenting. Happy week (please note the unusual-for-design-mom end date below — you've got a whole week to enter). And thank you to All About Cute!

Random Giveaway — Goodies from Delight.com

I've got a Happy Halloween Giveaway today. No tricks. Just treats. And let's start with this: 12 WINNERS ON THIS GIVEAWAY!! Delight.com and I emailed back and forth, discussing whether this Giveaway should be one prize or lots of prizes, and Delight.com was like: the more winners the better! Apparently, they love the idea of giving away tons of their cutest items to Design Mom Readers.

So get your comments in. Because you've got 12 chances to win. And the prizes are fantastic — just as fantastic as you'd expect them to be when you know they're from
Delight.com. Take a look:

1) This lego-esque iPod speaker. Actually. Two of these. Going to two winners. Perfect for your cubicle, for traveling, for the bathroom. Best part: no batteries needed(!) — they power up through your iPod instead. In Red, Blue, Green, Yellow — plus, just announced — also in white and pink. Hot! Which color will you pick?

2) Next. There are Four Sets of these gorgeous Woodgrain File Folders up for grabs. Two winners will receive the Birds & Flowers design. Two winners will receive the Damask pattern. Each of the four sets contains 12 lovely folders. With Tiffany Blue interiors. Nice. They're so cute, you'll be looking for excuses to organize your papers, just so you can stare at the folders.

3) Third. Two winners will receive a clever Chalkboard Candle. One in Gardenia scent. One in Persian Fig. Yummy. And now you'll have the perfect place to leave secret notes to your lov-ah.

4) Then. We've got two more prizes for two more winners. Useful and adorable Flashcards. Two sets — one in French, one in Spanish. Cute for kids. Cute for grown-ups. And really nice to keep on your desk as inspiration to plan a trip somewhere exotic.

5) Finally. There are two Summer to Snow Scrapbooks — by Sukie in the pot. So cute! They're retro and charming and the ideal gift to encourage your kids to make a record of their year — through their own eyes. Made of 100% recycled paper.

And there it is. Twelve great prizes for twelve lucky winners. All from the fun collection at Delight.com. Could it get any better? Ummmm. Turns out yes. Delight.com is offering free shipping on any order over $45 for Design Mom Readers. Just use the coupon code DesignMom (case sensitive). Good timing, because today is Halloween. And that means tomorrow is the unofficial beginning of "the Holidays." And during the holidays, free-shipping feels like striking gold.

Random Giveaway — $150 at Ses Petites Mains

Here's a Giveaway for anybody who knows a girl. A girl that likes pretty clothes. You could win $150 gift certificate to Ses Petites Mains. And you could use that certificate to buy pretty clothes. For a girl. Take a look. The clothes sell themselves.

Ses Petites Mains is designed by Beth Miles, in sizes 12 month to 8 years, and manufactured in San Francisco. The company name — French for "their little hands" (I think) — is said to refer "not only to the sweet, little hands of those who would wear the clothes. But also, to the delicate details which separate disposable clothing from those you hope to cherish forever."

I love that sentiment! And I'm absolutely curious to see if the changes in our economy lead to purchases of longer-lasting clothing. The sort of thrift that would put less items in your closet, but increase the quality and wearability of those items.

The designer, Beth, also says, “I love the idea of all fabrics being able to be worn together. As children love to throw 'anything' on, I designed all the pieces to work together. Shirtwaists with slips; slips as dresses; slips as loungewear; tunics with bermudas; halter overalls — darling with or without anything underneath."

A wonderful concept. And it's easy to see how well Ses Petites Mains makes it happen — with classic lines and traditional silhouettes. I have yet to see any items from this line in person, but knowing the backstory, and seeing the pretty pictures, I feel like I'm a big fan
already.

THIS JUST IN: Use the code "designmom" to get a 20% discount on your next Ses Petites Mains purchase. Nice.

Happy commenting. Thank you Ses Petites Mains!

Random Giveaway — Lisa Leonard Jewelry

A great Giveaway today. Three beautiful necklaces for three beautiful winners. From everyone's favorite stamped jewelry shop, Lisa Leonard Designs. You know the drill — get those comments in asap and you could be one of the lucky three.

This pretty little bird-y creation is the necklace up for grabs. It's called the Sweet Simple Bird Necklace and it really is adorable. A sterling silver disc, one and 1/4 inches across, is hand-stamped with a little birdie sitting on a branch. A cream freshwater pearl makes a perfect accent. Strung on 18" sterling ball chain. And remember — three of these lovelies will go to three lucky winners.

The following aren't up for grabs in this Giveaway, but how can I visit Lisa Leonard's site without sharing some of my other favorites from her collection:

All of Lisa's designs are quite wonderful, but I think the spoons may be my very favorite. So simple and elegant. Very chic. Growing up, my mom kept a drawer full of tiny keepsakes from when we were babies, along with other little heirlooms. As children, we loved getting a peek inside that drawer. I think it would be a wonderful tradition to have a spoon made for each child. You could frame the spoon in a handsome little shadow box — along with a photo of the baby eating their first solid food using the very same utensil.
A spoon would make a wonderful gift for that mom who seems to have everything she needs.

Happy commenting. Thank you Lisa Leonard Designs!

Random Giveaway — Binth Collection of Prints

Is it just me or are you feeling the Giveaway vibe today as well? Be prepared to ooooh and aaaah. Because I've got some really, really good prizes today. Pretty stuff. Cool stuff. For your home. For your walls. From acclaimed design house/screen printers: Binth!! Take a look at what the lucky winner will receive:

Six City Prints in Primary Colors. Part of Binth's newest collection. Refined and childlike at the same time. You'll get New York, Paris, London, Berlin, Chicago and Los Angeles. I don't know if it's my recent So Cal trip or what, but I'm especially digging the LA print — I think it's that giant sun.

Each City Print sells for $22, is hand-screen printed (with love and affection) and comes ready to frame in an archival mat. Gorgeous as a series. Gorgeous alone.

And there's more. Of course there is! The winner will also receive the Let's Play Girl and Let's Play Boy from Binth's new Primary Color Series. Based on classic playing card imagery. I heart these designs.

Bigger than the City Prints at 8 x 10 inches. They'll also arrive ready to frame in archival mats and sell for $28 each. I can't decide if these would look better in the playroom or our bedroom.

Oh. Did you think we were done? Not at all, my friends. Not at all. The winner will also receive this classic Binth Alphabet Poster. 24 x 48 inches and sells for $85. In cool grays and warm oranges. Inspired by mid-century Danish wood toys.

And because Alphabets always go better with Numbers, Binth is including their gorgeous Numbers Poster as well. Easily my favorite poster they produce. It's beautiful. And easy to stare at (I can say so with confidence from personal experience).
18 x 24 inches and sells for $55.00. And features an octopus.

Holy cow. I can't believe one winner is going to get all those prints and posters! Someone is about to get a huge boost to their art collection. A boost worth over $325. A really beautiful boost. Have fun day-dreaming about where you'll hang your new art.

Thank you
Binth!

Any item of women's clothing from Kayce Hughes. Perfect. Something to freshen up your wardrobe and something fun for your child as well. And you get to choose what those items should be.

The Kayce Hughes line is perfectly proportioned, finely constructed, and completely wearable. And you can count on it's wearability. Because Kayce behind Kayce Hughes is a mother of 7. For reals. She absolutely know what it means to get dressed in the morning as a mother. I've met her (at the recent children's club show) and she is beautiful and gracious and, as we can see from her clothing line, very talented.

So start dreaming about what you'll pick out for yourself. Possibly the super adaptable Wrap Skirt, available in 4 colors. Or the crisp white Ruffled Top in swiss dot, that you'll want to wear every single day.

And what you'll pick for your child. Maybe the Daisy Dress in palm green (such a wonderful silhouette!). Or the cozy red Pea Coat lined with fleece.

Have fun browsing their site — pondering over the classic lines, the beautiful fabrics, the quality — and daydreaming a bit about how cute you'll look in your new clothes. Thank you Kayce Hughes!

Random Giveaway — Tretorn Shoes for the Family

It's the 4th of July tomorrow. Which is wonderful. I LOVE July 4th! And I think we should celebrate our freedom with some new shoes. Because being able to walk around — when you want, where you want, in whatever shoes you want — is a lovely way to model independence. So how about new shoes for the whole family? A pair for Dad. A pair for Mom. And a pair for your child. All sponsored by Tretorn!

That's right. The winner will receive 3 pairs of shoes from Tretorn. And the winner gets to pick which pairs and which sizes. And it's going to be kind of a big job choosing those 3 pairs of shoes. Because Tretorn carries all sorts of really good-looking options. Check out the men's shoes. And the women's line. And the adorable children's sneakers and boots.

Why is Tretorn feeling so generous and All-American? Well. It's because in addition to the 4th of July, they are also celebrating the opening of their new shop in SoHo — yay Tretorn! It's located on 150 Spring Street, and I for one am dying to pay it a visit. If only so I can see this lovely pair of boots in person.

Thank you Tretorn!

Random Giveaway — Two Diapers Bags for Dad

I'll bet you can't wait to tell your husbands and fathers Happy Fathers' Day! How about a Giveaway that you can enter especially for the Dads. Two lucky winners will each receive a $98 manly diaper bag from Allen Avenue!!

One will receive the Cevan Metro Black Stars & Gear.

And One will receive the Cevan Metro Brown Biplane.

What good-looking bags! And I love that there's nothing overtly "diaper" about them — they're cool enough to be totally unisex. Plus, check out the long list of features here. Clearly, they were designed to fit and carry everything a modern parent could need.

Won't your husband be relieved to have a non-quilted, non-embroidered, non-flowery bag to carry when he heads out to the park with the kids? And if he's not into it
(cross your fingers), you can always claim it for yourself.

Thank you Allen Avenue!

[ Congratulations to natalie who said, "I would be in heaven if I won!!!" Yay for natalie! Please email me from the link on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor. ]

It's Friday. The last day of this iteration of Ask-Design-Mom Week. I think it's been a great week — I hope you do to. Thank you to everyone who has sent in a question, answered a question or read a question. This is one seriously inquisitive bunch. Seriously. Had I all the time in the world, I could have covered twice as many questions and still not run out. Impressive.

And now it's time for a big finale Giveaway to show you my gratitude. How about a gorgeous cribset of your choice from the Serena & Lily collection — sponsored by one of the loveliest little shops around, Layla Grayce!!
That's right. The winner gets to pick from one of five beautiful designs. In fact. The five most popular Serena & Lily designs. Each valued from $539 to $969:

There's the Ben. Animals on parade in the coolest way. In the coolest colors.

The Greta. Soft and pink and a subtle sort of girly.

The Kate. A bolder version of the Greta in a luscious lime green.

There's the Rex. Laid back in madras plaid.

And even the Ruby. Flowery and pristine at the same time.

How will you ever choose? Each one is adorable. Each one would improve your nursery in a major way. And each one is just a tiny sample of the elegant collection of wares found at Layla Grayce. A shop full of the finest things for you, your children and your home.

Random Giveaway — Kaboost & Letter Ice Trays

[ We got two winners!! Congratulations to:
1) Alleen who said, "Love the Kaboost!!"
2) kim b who said, "Count me in! We could definitely use the Kaboost and my son would love the ice cube trays!"
Hey you lucky ladies! Please email me from the link on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsors. ]

So many great ideas today! Thank you for helping me answer all these wonderful Ask-Design-Mom questions. Here's another Giveaway to say thank you. And this one is more about the toddler/preschooler and less about the baby. Plus. There are two winners on this one — yay for double prizes!!

And now, let's discuss those double prizes. Two winners will each receive:

A Kaboost system. Designed to take any 4 legged chair and turn it into a booster. It holds up to 300 lbs and stays attached even when the chair is moved around. Now little Johnny can sit at the table just like the grown-ups, while he throws his peas at the light fixture. And you don't have to buy another piece of furniture. The Kaboost is easy to use (check out their quick how-to video) and comes in four colors — only one of which is electric green. Brilliant. You can find your own Kaboost system at Target.

Also. The two winners will each receive a set of letter and number trays from Letter Ice. These will be absolutely perfect for entertaining and teaching your preschooler this summer. Which letter is in your lemonade, Oscar? Let's make juice pops with the numbers, Betty! But they're not just for ice. You can use them to make cookies as well. Or to make Jello. Or to make muffins. Because these trays are all about multi-tasking. I tell you, I want some!

And I'll bet you want some too. Happy Commenting — and remember: two winners on this one.

Thank you Kaboost! Thank you Letter Ice Trays!

Random Giveaway — Onsies by Alyssa Coberly and Blanket by Jacqueline Yeo

[ Congratulations to lovelylittlelovelies who said, "absolutely adorable!" Yay for lovelylittlelovelies! Please email me from the link on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsors. ]

Everyone has been so helpful — answering Design Mom questions, sharing their best tips, leaving kind feedback. Thank you!

So, how about more gorgeous baby stuff to give away today! The handmade, etsy sort of gorgeous baby stuff. Because the current baby boom is going to overwhelm all of us with gift giving. Count on these fabulous giveaways to ease the burden and give you great ideas for the stack of baby announcements on your desk.

[ And remember, you've got two days to enter each of this week's Giveaways. Which means, you can also enter Tuesday's Tiny McSmall and Persimmon and Pink Giveaway until Midnight tonight. For reals! ]

Now. Let's get to the prizes:

First, a set of 3 baby onsies from Alyssa Coberly of {jig.}. A girl set. Or a boy set. Your choice. In a beautiful box. A perfect gift!

But there's more. The winner can customize them with the name (or names) or their choice. Sets are available in sizes 3-6m or 0-3m. And all the onesies are very high quality 100% cotton interlock with short sleeves. They will ship out from Chicago the very day the winner places her order.

Everything Alyssa makes is adorable — she has one of the best etsy shops and most charming blogs out there. Go Alyssa!

Second. An instant-favorite blanket, designed and crafted by Jacqueline Yeo, and sold on her For The Record etsy site. Another perfect gift idea! It's made with the softest fleece on one side, and very fine jersey on the other side. The appliqué is done on the jersey side of the fabric. The blankie measures 30x38" and is stitched all around.

Bonus: since each piece is handcrafted, you can have it customised with the baby's initial or name! Fantastic. Who wouldn't want to own such a beautiful blanket?

Thank you to our sponsors: Alyssa Coberly and Jacqueline Yeo!

[ Congratulations to sarah starr who said, "Happiness is all around in this giveaway. DM - you rock." Yay for sarah starr! Please email me from the link on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsors. ]

After the last post, I've got Baby Journals on the brain. So why not give one away? Enter your comment to win two super stylish products for your own little bébé — a gorgeous Binth Baby Book from the lovingly-edited collection of Tiny McSmall and a charming Wool Doll or Blastoid Cat of your choice from the lovingly-handmade collection of Persimmon & Pink.

[ And remember, you've got two days to enter each of this week's Giveaways. Which means, it's not too late to enter yesterday's Tiny Sprouts Giveaway. You lucky duck! ]

Let me tell you about this Binth Baby Book. It's fresh and modern and completely original. It arrives in a handsome keepsake box and is bound to become a cherished family heirloom. Nicely sized, with lots of space for both photos and notes. It retails for $110 — which is basically a bargain for a book that is entirely screen printed. Printed on recycled white stock with cotton cloth cover.

And it's just one of dozens of perfect items available from Tiny McSmall (don't you just love that name?!), one of my very favorite shops to find "just right" items and gifts for babies and children.

Plus. I want to introduce you to these fantastic creations — wool dolls and blastoid cats — by Persimmon & Pink. Too charming for words, right? And lots of choices so that you can find the ideal new best friend for your child. The lucky winner gets to pick any doll. Or any cat. And you might want to keep checking the Persimmon & Pink etsy shop, because new additions arrive all the time.

Happy Commenting. Thank you Persimmon and Pink! Thank you Tiny McSmall!

Random Giveaway — Tiny Sprouts

[ Congratulations to threeunderthree who said, "Please please pick me! I've been trying and trying to win a giveaway forever and I promise I'll share the love if I win this one!" You are the big winner of the Tiny Sprouts Giveaway! Send me an email and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor straight away! ]

To thank you for helping me out with good ideas and suggestions during Ask Design Mom Week, I'll be hosting a new Giveaway Monday through Friday — and each one will be open to entries for at least 48 hours. So let's get started!

The first one is a great one. It will make you popular and win you friends. And I'm not even kidding. The lucky winner will receive 12 months of adorable gifts worth $350 from Tiny Sprouts!

Here's how it works: each month you can choose a darling item from Tiny Sprouts' darling offerings. Then. You can choose a recipient. Then. Tiny Sprouts will send off the gift in your name. Making you look like the most thoughtful person ever. See what I mean about being all popular?

Would you rather keep all 12 months of gifts for yourself? Well. I promise I'll never tell.

Tiny Sprouts offers hand embroidered items for newborns, babies and toddlers. That's right. HAND-embroidered. As in embroidered by a hand holding a thread and a needle. How cool is that? Onesies. Hats. Cozy pajamas. Bibs. Blankets. Even a darling Growth Chart. It's definitely worth browsing the site just to see all the cute photos.

Thank you Tiny Sprouts!

Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway Recap

The Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway Week is officially closed. I'll announce the final winners — and put winners in touch with sponsors — this evening.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Mothers Day Giveaway week — the clever commenters! (Over the course of the week there were 13,155(!) Giveaway comments) The generous sponsors! The beautiful products! I hope everyone felt as celebratory as I did about the whole thing.

In other news: I have a million blog posts I want to write. Betty turned 2 on Friday
(can we still call her Baby Betty?) with celebrations happening on Sunday. Then there was Mothers Day — I slept in till 9:30 in the morning — the best gift ever. Plus there were Giveaways to attend to. And a little tiny thing called a major website relaunch for the newly named kirtsy (more on that in the next post).

I can't wait to report with a little more detail about the lovely gift from Ben (it rhymes with muperhero mecklace). And about a super cool dinner I went to at the James Beard House last Wednesday. I plan to fill you in on everything just as soon as I've wrapped up the Giveaway loose ends tonight.

In the meantime, Happy Monday!

Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway #17 — Breakfast in Bed from Williams-Sonoma

[ Congratulations to Mae who said, "I would love a breakfast in bed that was a little more than soggy cereal and a bruised banana. (Although that's nice too!)" You're the big winner of this Giveaway! Please send me an email at the address listed on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor. ]

Here it is. You've been waiting for it so patiently. The final Mother's Day Giveaway. The finale. The big caboose. (Is that a term?) And as you might expect. It rocks. This Giveaway is worth the wait x 10. Get your comments in now for a super deluxe prize package from the finest kitchen supply store around: Williams-Sonoma.

When I say "super-deluxe" I'm not even kidding. The prize features four items — everything you need for the perfect Mothers Day breakfast in bed. Take a look at the goods:

Breville Electric Citrus Press

1) The Breville Electric Citrus Press.
It's sleek. It's powerful. And it works on all of your favorite citrus. From tiny limes to ginormous grapefruits. All you have to do is press down on the handle, and ba-da-boom, the motor starts up and does its thing. Like more pulp? Like less pulp? Either way, you're in luck. Because the Breville comes with two stainless-steel strainer baskets allowing you to adjust the amount of pulp in your juice. Easy clean-up — all removable parts are dishwasher safe. Retails for $169.95.

Monogrammed Bud Vases, Set of 3

2) Set of Three Monogrammed Bud Vases.
Charming. Personalized. Hand blown in Poland. You know you want these three little luxuries. Each one has its own unique shape — they look pretty displayed together. Pretty on their own. And they'll add just the right touch to your breakfast tray. Retails for $39.00.

Plain & Chocolate Croissants Assortment

3) Plain & Chocolate Croissants Assortment.
This is not a recipe. This is not a baking mix. This is 30 gorgeous and delicious croissants. Made by pastry chef Jean-Yves Charon in the traditional French style, using butter and ultrathin layers of dough. And butter. Half are chocolate croissants — filled with premium Callebaut chocolate. The other half are un-chocolate (read: plain). Preparation is simple: Thaw. Let rise overnight. Bake to a warm, flaky perfection. Ummm. Yes, please. Retails for $72.00.

Cuisinart 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Black

4) Cuisinart 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker.
Confession. The whole coffee culture is completely unknown to me. So I won't pretend to understand all the fine qualities of this beautiful machine and will instead give you the lovely description straight from the WS site: "Equally suitable for elegant entertaining or everyday breakfast service, this programmable coffeemaker lets you set a brewing cycle up to 24 hours in advance. It’s equipped with a generous 12-cup, 60 fl.-oz. glass carafe for large gatherings, but also features a special cycle for brewing one to four cups when you don’t need a full pot. The attractive design features a stainless-steel control panel." Sounds good, no? Retails for $59.95.

Is it just me, or is this the perfect Giveaway to end with? Four great items from a company that stocks only the best. Williams-Sonoma is the kind of store that even non-foodies are tempted by. It's just such a pleasant place to be. The displays are charming. The packaging is well-designed. The quality is unmatched.

One of my favorite parts about shopping at Williams-Sonoma is the knowledge of their
legendary satisfaction guarantee. If you're not pleased with a Williams-Sonoma gift, they will happily exchange it for a product you'd prefer. But honestly, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be pleased with a Williams-Sonoma gift.

Thank you Williams-Sonoma!

Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway #16 — $200 Worth of Goods from Paper and Ink

[ Congratulations to Cecily who said, "I love it choose me!" You're the big winner of this Giveaway! Please send me an email at the address listed on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor. ]

It's the second to last Giveaway. If you come upon this post over the weekend, it's so going to make your day. Like for reals. This Giveaway features one of the favorite items we discuss around here: pretty paper. With your name on it. The winner will receive $200 worth of paper goods. From the hip shop Paper & Ink Studio.

The prize includes 75 Flat Notecards — personalized with your name — and accompanied by 75 hand-lined envelopes. Size: A2 (5.5"x4.25"). Printed on velvet texture 80 pound cardstock, with rounded corners. Strawberry envelopes hand-lined with a pretty pink floral pattern. Oh my. Hand-lined envelopes always make me swoon.

Additionally, the winner will receive 100 Call Me Cards — personalized with her name and info. Available in lots of good-looking designs. And won't you feel all special when someone asks for your email address and you whip out one of these?

What is it about pretty paper anyway? I'm sure it has something to do with how good a heavy, elegant, paper stock feels in your hand after an afternoon of email and internet. You just can't beat a hand-written note or a pretty little calling card. Mary Carstens, the designer behind Paper & Ink Studio, sure knows how to keep paper simple and chic and really elegant.

Thank you Paper & Ink!

[ Congratulations to Amira who said, "how very nice!" You're the big winner of this Giveaway! Please send me an email at the address listed on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor. ]

It's Friday. The last day of Mothers Day Giveaway Week at Design Mom. I've got four Giveaways to post! The first being jewelry. Really pretty jewelry from Darleen Meier. I'm going to show you three different combinations of necklace and earrings. You'll want to study them well. Because the winner gets to pick her favorite combo!!

First up: Edith. The earrings are clusters of semi-precious stones which hang above sterling silver rings. The necklace is a coin-shaped pearl that hangs from a cubic zircon. Isn't that pearl just stunning?

Next, let me introduce you to: Regan. The earrings are made out of brushed vermeil, moss aquamarine and rough pearl stone. The necklace is made with a free-forming brushed vermeil, gold-filled chain and a cluster of semi-precious stones. How funky cool is the big gold shape on the necklace? Love it!

Third, take a look at: Kayla.
earrings are made with twisted gold-filled wire that are coiled in the form of a flower. Apatite briolette. Charm necklace has a gold-filled round disc, leaflet, natural zircon briolette and pearl. Those earrings are too delicate to be real. So pretty.

Isn't this a great Giveaway? I love when there's a choice. I start imagining which one I'd pick. What I'd wear it with. How it would sparkle on my neck line. And I love Darleen Meier's style. I think it's fabulous that she names her designs after family and friends. I'll bet I would like "Edith" in real life — because I sure like the jewelry that was named after her.

When you visit her site, don't miss her baby jewelry. Really beautiful stuff. My favorite is the little, tiny, Lexie bracelet.

Thank you Darleen Meier!

Mothers Day 2008 Giveaway #13 — Three Bags from Aster + Sage

[ Congratulations to Becky who said, "LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Since gone are the diaper bag days, what a way to spice up my own "haul-around"! I hope I win, then I don't have to add to my mom's day would-love list!" You're the big winner of this Giveaway! Please send me an email at the address listed on my blog and I'll put you in touch with the sponsor. ]

And now it's Thursday night. Which means I should probably be watching 30 Rock. Which is currently the funniest show on television. But I promised to get up one more Giveaway today. And I couldn't get it posted until right this minute, because there was a fancy pantsy dance recital for my Olive this evening. For the record, dance recitals always beat out Giveaways.

But this Giveaway is totally worth the wait. And even though I'm posting it so late, you'll still get a full 24-hours to enter. For the record, you will so want to enter this Giveaway. Because there are three fantastic items up for grabs from one of my very favorite accessory lines Aster + Sage! Here's all the yummy details:

One lucky lady will receive the Charlotte tote bag — in any of the 3 great colors. It's giant and canvas and totally stylish. Perfect for holding the contents of your entire household as you head out the door this summer. You should also know that the Charlotte stands upright so it's easy to fill and wipes clean in a jiffy. For the record, Linda Yesline, the mother who designs the Aster + Sage line, uses it ALL the time.

Plus, the winner will also take home the super cool Carolyn makeup bag. Available in six up-to-date color combinations and sized exactly right. For the record, if you're not using a good-looking make-up bag, it might be time to upgrade. A great bag makes the whole make-up experience much more enjoyable.

And. Just to top things off and make this an extra-awesome Giveaway, the winner will receive the Angie phone/ipod case as well! It has an outer pocket, a cute dog-leash style strap, and it's large enough to fit a blackberry. For the record, it's so cute that you'll look for excuses to pull your phone/ipod out of your bag — just to show off your Angie case.

If you've been reading my blog for awhile, you probably already know I'm a big fan of Aster + Sage. I love the style behind the line. I love the philosophy. I loved meeting Linda at the Gift Show and seeing her darling baby. For the record, Aster + Sage rocks!!

Thank you Aster + Sage!

Is it just me or do we have some recurring themes going on this week? Jewelry. Clothing. Stationery. And magazine subscriptions! Awesome. Magazines are like getting a new gift every time the latest issue shows up in your mailbox. Lucky for you — this Giveaway will have ten (yes ten!) winners. Ten happy women will receive a year-long subscription to Eliza magazine.

What's Eliza Magazine? Well. It's your new favorite fashion tabloid. That's what. Best part? The stunning photography. Second best part? Eliza Magazine promises to never title an article: "the sexual secrets to make him want you." Or anything even remotely close to that. (Hooray!)

But you will find great articles on Fashion, Beauty, Health, Entertainment and Lifestyle. And no covers that you'll need to hide from your children. My particular favorite, is their series on the history of the great fashion houses — they've covered four so far, including Gucci and Chanel. Fabulous.

I love the description on their about page: "ELIZA magazine brings you "Fashion without Fiction." We are realistic about everyday women's price points, showcasing pieces that are worth the big price tags and discovering deals at your local department stores that are just as hip. We are realistic about women's bodies: we don't retouch bodies, and we mix real women and professional models. We are realistic about women's interests, featuring fashion and beauty information, current issues, and real life problem solving, all while keeping perspective on what's really important in life." Sounds just right to me.

If you don't win, no stress. You can pick up your own quarterly subscription here.

Thank you to Eliza Magazine.
