It’s so charming and should we say, non-annoying? :) We love it so much. It’s super cute to watch him do all the tasks by himself too. It’s not easy to find great apps but hopefully this series will offer a few tips in the right direction. Thanks, Daniele.

Music is lovely too. I would love to find something similar but not easy task at all to compete!!

We also like the Reading Rainbow app, but it’s not cheap and I won’t pay for a membership until he’s at least old enough to use it more regularly.

My older children (6, 8, 11) love BrainPOP. Not everyone raves about Scholastic’s Storia app (a reader), but it has been great for our family & for our multiple devices. I think it works on kindles, androids, etc as well as apple devices. Stack the States and Stack the Countries are 2 more great apps for slightly older kids. Balloonimals & Highlights Hidden Pictures are fun for younger kids.

I’d love to hear about apps for kids ages 4-7. And maybe this is old news, but I really love the app story called Morris Lessmore.

I think I’ll “save” it for the flights we have coming up next month. Thanks for sharing.

You should really check out Jubitron The Girl Robot in The Lovely Little Picnic – it’s also sweet and fun and interactive.
Both my 2- and 6-year-old love the story, and I love that the protagonist is a girl robot. We really don’t have enough girl robot role models, I’d say. :)

She especially loves popping the balloon and it’s refreshing to find an app she can use without guidance. She feels really grown up playing it! I also like the muted colours and the design. I’d recommend it to anyone.
