I’m always a fan of Radiolab, but the Bliss series is especially interesting. In one of the episodes, they interview Aleksander Gamme, a Norwegian explorer, about his ephoric moment while traveling on a freezing expedition in the far North. I don’t want to give it away — you just have to watch. This may be one of the best YouTube videos I’ve ever seen. It’s left me feeling so happy!

This guy is awesome!! Makes me smile! Thanks for sharing!
This reminds me of when I was in Saudi Arabia with the military and would get a care package from back home. It’s amazing how those little things like frou frou-y soap and gummi bears can make your day when your whole world is brown on brown on brown. Loved this!
Thanks Maria! A little taste of home can totally turn it all around. Thank you for your service!
Love this! My two year old came running in to see what the shouting was about, love how bliss doesn’t need translation.
Hahaha!! I’m so doing this every time I open the fridge now!
That was one of the best things I have seen ever!! I LOVE IT! thanks so much what a bright spot to my day. It brings back memories of the Swedish chef from the muppets!! love it
This was such a great clip to watch! I have to share it on my site as well – being Norwegian and all. I especially like it when he says “Is it for real?” and “A double sized bag of Cheese Dooodles!”. Thank you, Koseli:)
Thanks for the translation, Marianne! I love that he said that!
