Anybody want a peanut?

My favorite line, if I had to pick one, is “This is true love. You think that happens every day?”

we say that line daily.

The whole Cliffs of Insanity sword fight is amazing, beginning with the “You seem a decent fellow, I hate to kill you. – You seem a decent fellow, I hate to die.” bit, followed by the “I… am not left-handed!” part (“I’m not left-handed either!”) and all the way through the “- Who are you? – No one of consequence. – I must know. – Get used to disappointment. – Ok.”

This is my favorite movie ever, I can quote it from top to bottom… I watch it twice every year: once on my birthday (yep I also watch Groundhog Day in Groundhog Day too) and another time during the Christmas holidays. I got married last year and it was one of the wedding themes: the wedding ceremony started with the “mawage” speech, there were peanuts in all the tables with an “Anybody want a peanut?” sign, and also chocolates for the “mostly dead” during the dance.

Unfortunately, since I’m Spanish I don’t usually get the chance to quote it (I can’t stand it in Spanish but that’s how people usually watch movies here so they don’t understand the references :S), but with my husband I do it all the time (poor thing, I made him watch the movie so many times he already knows most of it by heart too :P). “Not to fifty!!!”, “As you wish”, “I’m waiiiting!!!”, “Everybody mooove!!”, “I would not say such things if I were youuuu!”, “I do not think it means what you think it means”, “You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles” are among our favorites.

I can’t wait to have kids and watch it with them, I hope they like it or “I should be very put out!” ;)
