A Book for Naomi

January 31, 2013

By Koseli.

Erin Jang made this beautiful one-of-a-kind book for her niece’s big first birthday. She included Naomi’s favorite foods, the things she says, and her favorite people. I love Naomi’s little bangs! What a treasure this book will be for Naomi and her family. Wouldn’t it be fun to make one for your own child?

Did you ever receive a super special gift from an aunt or uncle when you were little? Have your kids? And if you’re like me and live far away from most of your family, how do you keep in touch with your nieces and nephews? I’d love ideas. I miss them like crazy!

P.S. — Do you follow Erin’s blog The Indigo Bunting? If you love design blogs, you’ll enjoy it. I’m a fan of her cards on Paperless Post, too.

What a cute idea! I’m not an illustrator, but it would be fun to use photos of my child doing various things.

Also, here’s the permalink to the post about the book: http://theindigobunting.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-book-for-naomi.html

Love this little book as i’m sure the baby will as she grows up. Even though I myself am not an aunt yet, i know how special they are watching my baby with hers. I have a thing for handmade/personalized gifts. Specially because we live an ocean across from our precious ones, it gives even more value to be surrounded by pieces of them even if we cant see them as often as we could. When I was going to have my daughter, I asked all our loved ones that I would love to have handmade gifts from them in her room. As a result, at two years old, my daughter has quite a collection in her room by now, and it will hopefully keep growing:). Some of these beautiful gifts include a hand crochet blanket, handmade animal shaped pillows, handmade personalized art for her walls and many other items. Will hopefully do a tour of her room soon to show off all these lovely items. Xoxo
