A Brooklyn-based designer that goes by the shop name Dirty Bandits, searches for the silliest — but real! — holidays, and celebrates them with a great-looking, screen-printed calendar. The featured 2013 holidays include:
January 30 – Answer Your Cat’s Question Day
March 29 – Leisure Suit Saturday
October 2 – Name Your Car Day
Made me laugh.
P.S. — The calendar comes in a postcard version too!

hilarious and gorgeous. a good combination.
Agreed, I have heard of some holidays… and just wonder how it was approved, or whatever the process it. That being said, I would love to compile a list of chocolate themed holidays if anyone has ideas on where to start?
I remember reading about International S’mores day (I think it is in August) so I had to celebrate by making s’more brownies. Some holidays are definitely worth celebrating! Cute idea for a calendar.
I have a couple websites I visit and compile Odd Holiday calenders from regularly. There are usually at least 2/day, sometimes there are more than I am comfortable putting on one calender day. I print them off and use them in my daily life. They help plan dinners and kids activities! Yesterday was Ninja Day and the day before was Cookie Day so we combine them and made Ninja Bread Men! I love Odd Holidays. I sent my calenders to everyone in my email and they love them too. I should get started on next years’.
I think You’ve just found my 2013 calendar for me! And to think that if I’d gone with any other calendar I’d surely miss out on Leisure Suit Saturday.
