I was actually a little nervous to send the pics in because of all the color! I love the look of the spaces that are mainly clean, white and more “cool” and modern looking, but that’s just not me – it’s good to know there are more “full color fans” :)

btw – Lisa – the entry walls are Sherwin Williams Steely Gray

All white. I love sea glass colors, pale yellows, and many others that simply hint at color. What they bring to a room is a sense of calm, comfort, and beauty that I find completely lacking in white.

She swears she needs the color to be energized. I find it warm and vibrant. My house is a subdued palate, think grays and sea glass. I swear I need the quiet colors so I can hear my own voice. She says it makes her feel calm and content. So while you (and her couldnt live without it) I couldnt live with it. So maybe instead of daring for color, we should all just dare to be who we really are.

Finally! I love that they bravely used color! Sometimes I wonder if people who think they love an all-white look would really love color if they just dared try it! (Maybe pastels would be a way to start…) I could never live without color!

My home would be the perfect mix of modern and classic – borderline eclectic in some cases. My husband leans toward traditional design, and I lean toward modern. We haven’t quite found our happy medium, but both of us have made compromises. Living with kids + creating a home full of inspiration and design can be challenging, especially when toys are involved. ha! But, I am reminded that more than anything we have a safe haven and have much more than many – that dose of perspective helps when I am longing for the latest rug or light fixture! :)
