I loved this interview. The warmth and love in their home and attitude makes me love their clothing line even more. Gorgeous textiles and no doubt those little ones will grow up remembering tons of love and laughter.

I always love the series but I love that this is truly a community of living with kids, not just one family or one house. Wonderful as always and inspiring indeed. Those colors and all the weaving are stunning.

Beautiful women who have built a strong friendship over the years. I too have girlfriends like this and could not be more grateful. I wish I had one of them on my street, that would be amazing!

I think my favorite part of this story is this quote “It’s life. It’s not easy balancing, but we love what we do. We have creative freedom. How many people can say that? We are very lucky.”

I agree, and what shows here is that hard work combined with gratitude and a great attitude will get you far. I wish these two (and their adorable kids!) all the best. Very cool story, thanks so much for sharing. I took time out of my busy entrepreneur life to connect with this story, and I’m glad that I did!

Warmly,
Christina

We’ve known each other since college and now most of us have children. They are more like cousins, very very close, and it makes me so happy. They all spend a lot of time at the theatre as well, they own it, it’s very sweet and funny.

How amazing would it be to have your best friend as your business and creative partner, as well as a like-family bond with your children??? What a blessing they have! I so much appreciate their candor about the challenges they face. Running my fairly new business from home has been a big transition and challenge, and I always feel like I have so many balls in the air that about 1/2 are on the ground at any moment ;). It’s nice to hear that even when you are very successful, that’s just how it goes.

Thanks for the post!

I love that the kids are surrounded by what you do and who you are – it’ll be interesting to see how that shapes them as they grow up and follow their own dreams and paths.

And as my kids grow, I agree that what we want them to remember is a feeling of joy. They won’t recall most of the details, but the feelings will be imprinted on their souls.

You guys are an inspiration – it’s wonderful to see people living the life they dream of.

Funny quick story – I dated a guy from LA (I’m a Jersey girl) and I told him a story once which involved using the word “stoop” and he had never heard it before! It’s such a part of NYC culture, it’s funny to think that it’s not in every person’s vocabulary.
