This one (which was inspired by this song) reminds me of that moment when kids suddenly turn from wanting to go anywhere and everywhere you’re going to the point where you can’t imagine if you’ll ever score even one second alone again…to the age when they give you a kiss and fly off to do their own thing. Bittersweet, isn’t it?

The first one is my favorite too.
I have this dream that I will make an illustrated book of all the quotes I’ve collected over the years….but the collection is large enough now to make the task Herculean, if not Sisyphean. Sigh: there are just so very many beautiful words.
