A Few Things

a trio of pears

Happy Weekend, Friends! How are you? We just picked up Matt & Julie of Tiger in a Jar from the train station. They’re here to work on a new video project — a project that isn’t Olive Us. That’s right. It’s a totally new project that has come in to our life all of sudden. I’ll remain cryptic for now, but you won’t have to wait long for the details, because the videos will launch in October (which is like 2 seconds away in parenting time). I’m sure I’ll be sharing instagrams along the way if you’d like to get a sneak peek!

In addition to video stuff, we’ll also be doing some exploring for Love the Place You Live. Will you join me? Do something local and cool this weekend, then write up a post on Monday and we’ll all link up. It’s lots of fun, I promise!

While I get back to video prep, here are a few things I’d love to share with you:

- A magical purse. Thanks, Macarena!

- I think I spent a good hour playing on this site. Thanks, Sara!

- These must be made. Tell me if you you do. And please send eight to La Cressonnière.

- On getting up in the morning.

- Check out my super hot sis-in-law.

- Rule breakers, unite!

- Cookies for your yoga obsessed friend.

- Paris vs. New York. Thanks, Carter!

- And here are my latest Babble posts.

I hope you have a marvelous weekend! I’ll meet you back here on Monday. I miss you already.

kisses,
Gabrielle

P.S. — There was a big spring freeze here and our apple trees, cherry trees and walnut tree didn’t produce any fruit at all. But there are some beautiful pears!

Um…that Incredibox site just made my day. If that’s not the coolest thing EVER…!

I always figured the “no white after labour day” thing was more of a common sense fashion rule for autumn – it starts raining and white and wet don’t mix. Neither do mud and white, but summer = dry and hot so white makes sense. I’ve always worn white as long as its sensible, no matter what time of year!

I heard your interview on Classical89 today :) It was nice to put a voice with the blog posts and to hear a bit more about you!

Oh I’m so excited for the Love the Place You Live idea! I have been wanting to do something adventurous and fun with my toddler and this is great incentive. Now… where to go?!

Thank you for the depression/getting up in the morning link- hit close to home- and in fact I wrote about seasonal depression on this morning’s blog post! It’s so good to read about other people going through it too; I only wish I’d begun reading blogs like that sooner!

Also excited for Love the Place You Live- I’ve been enjoying becoming more and more familiar with my small city after living here full-time for over a year now. Plus, it’s the perfect time of year in the Hudson Valley for great weekend activities (haha, feel like I’m writing it up already). Will let you know what we get up to :)
