I love design consultations but that is probably because that is a lot of what I used to do professionally with people’s clothes/wardrobes/closets.

We have had a couple of design consultations and loved them. We usually reach out to an expert when we are making significant changes, and the nominal expense involved with hiring a “pro” is more (WAY more) than recouped by finding the perfect piece or solutions.

We had a design consult once, years ago, before we moved into our first home. By the time we had settled in and my husband & I had peacefully melded our styles into one, the original plan was a little off. We had begun with something very cottagey/traditional, and we ended up dreaming of something scandinavian. Oh well!

This is great! I had a design consultation once years ago long before husband and baby and I did actually find it overwhelming or perhaps frustrating would be a better description of my experience. I think maybe that was because the designer who I consulted with either didn’t understand my style or didn’t agree with the direction I wanted – It was for a very modern loft style apartment and my aesthetic is a touch of modern with more classical pieces.
Brilliant prize, but sadly I’m an international reader, so I can’t enter. It would be lovely to have a competition for your international followers!

wow, $5,000! That’s quite a bit….ooohhhh, how I would love to have you consult on my kids attic space/play/guest and all around hang out spot for lots of kids. Who better than you could advise on a space that needs to be designed for lots of kids to hang out, work on group school projects and maybe enjoy a snow day or two this winter?

oh wow! this would be such a blessing for our family. we lost our home on december 26th to a home fire. we are scheduled to move back in november/december of this year. regardless, we are excited for nov/dec!

This is awesome! We’re having baby #2 and have to decide whether to put the baby in our older daughter’s room or convert the guest room. Either way it means a big makeover. I’ve never had a design consultation but I think it would be amazing.

We live in Manhattan and our 2 year old daughter is about to move out of our bedroom closet and finally get a bedroom in our new apartment- to share with her soon to be born baby brother of course. Since we currently have ZERO nursery furniture and a bigger apartment to fill I cannot imagine a better prize! Oh if only!

This sounds awesome, we havev3 girls who were sharing a room… Yikes I know. Now my 7 year old will have her own space. Andthe younger 2 can spead out a bit. We have been renting till now so have never before truly done much for their spaces. This would be a dream come true prize! And the icing would be a consultation with you!
That’s fun! Although I love my daughter and sons room, which I spent a lot of hours designing, shopping and putting it all together.,we just got custody of our 13 year old nephew and 11 year old neice and they are living in a bedroom that has no style, astectic, and is certainly not fun for a brother and sister sharing! It was a sudden thing so we nhavent had a chance to put anything together for them…so this would be an awesome treat!
