I am sure you will totally love Stonehenge, it is such an awesome site. Like Kristen said, you must get to Avebury, it is so much more fun because you can touch/sit on the stones. Brilliant.

Also, I love coral!

I hope you stop at Avebury! Somewhat less popular with tourists, though I think it’s a bit nicer than Stonehenge. You can actually touch the stones :) And it’s not terribly far from Stonehenge – little less than an hour.

But Stonehenge is wonderful, I drove past it last summer and was awed even then – I hope you’re loving it.

And it’s a little late now, but I totally back the recommendations for Bath, Salisbury or Winchester – very calm, pretty, historical places to visit.

Out of interest, I’m going to be visiting Paris (and Madrid) this summer. I was wondering if you have any particular recommendations? I’ve been before so know and love all of the big attractions, but any ‘local’ tips would be much appreciated! And I don’t think you’ve been to Madrid (yet), but if any of your readers spot this and have any favourite places there, I’d love their comments!

Drilling through glass jars is on my wanna-do list—but it will have to wait until after our trip to…..Paris!!!!!
Don’t think we’ll make it to the countryside on this visit, though. Any suggestions on flea markets?

My tip would be to buy a 1 or 2 week overseas visitors pass:
http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/daysout/overseas-visitor-pass/

Also take a jumper – even if it seems warm in the car park, it is always blowing a gale round Stonehenge!
