In fact, if we were chatting about how to extend our children’s wardrobes, I would tell you my best 3 pieces of advice are: 1) embrace hand-me-downs — both your own, and bags full from the neighbors, 2) keep your eyes peeled for unisex options, and 3) shop end of season sales.
I think the sales are my favorite way to get more bang for my buck, especially for kids’ clothes. It’s still freezing out there, but all the wintery goods are marked way, way down — some as low as $5! So it’s a smart time to stock up on cozy sweaters and layering t-shirts, or to replace outgrown jeans and lost mittens.
