Welcome November

November 1, 2011

November 1st feels so calm. Halloween festivities are over. We are unpacked from our trip. The kids are on a school break and don’t start up again till Thursday, so there was no morning rush and it doesn’t feel like a regular work day. It feels like a good day for downloading photos from our trip and thinking about all the amazing things I’ve seen over the last few weeks.

The thing about traveling: it makes me want to travel more. : ) The world is an amazing place! Till the next trip, I’ll scratch my travel itch with these pretty videos. (I shared the Paris one earlier and just realized there is a set of 7!)

P.S. — Yesterday’s Costume Challenge turned out great. We set the timer and the kids could only use materials in the art room. So fun! Find pictures of what they came up with here. How was your Halloween?

Ours was fun! The Babby trick or treated for the first time, and loved her costume. Much of which was made by me, using things from my craft space so that’s a little coincidence right there :) I managed to make some pretty good fairy wings, if I do say so myself (out of an old netting bed tent thing), and a sparkle wand (using a cat toy, stars cut from place mats, and glitter, hee). I love glitter!

Gabrielle – I totally understand what you mean about wanting to travel even more after you’ve returned from traveling. I just came home from London and cannot wait to get back. Literally before I hopped to your blog I was scouring Travelocity for decent rates to return this year.

Can’t wait to read more about your travels!

I definitely feel the sense of calm as of November 1st. So excited for the next two months–my favorite time of year!

However, I do have one slight problem, for which I’ve developed the following mantra:

I will not listen to my holiday playlist until Thanksgiving.
I will not listen to my holiday playlist until Thanksgiving.
I will not listen to my holiday playlist until Thanksgiving.
I will not listen to my holiday playlist until Thanksgiving.

So excited for She and Him and Michael Buble’s new Christmas albums.

Hello, thank you for a nice blog! Now there is a new ‘Live the language’ video where the girl travels to several countries – and also travels THROUGH TIME :)
Watch it on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUpuIWFiNo0 or on Vimeo http://vimeo.com/105225663
