Book of the Week: Harvey the Child Mime

October 4, 2011

This is cute new book from Loryn Brantz. Harvey the Child Mime is such a convincing mime, that when he pretends to be in a box, the box gets picked up and shipped off on an adventure. There is also a spoiled-but-redeemable princess involved. And Harvey never speaks a word! It’s a charming story. I think your kids will love it.

This sounds like something my son would enjoy. Adding it to my ever growing list of good books to read.

Have you seen the movie “Paris, je t’aime”? It’s an ensemble film made of 18 different vignettes from different directors, each featuring the arrondissments of Paris. It’s a must-see while you’re in France! Great actors and great directors make for a really interesting film.
One of the vignettes is about a funny mime family, which made me think of it :)
