State Prints

August 26, 2011

Do you have state pride? These prints from One Canoe Two are really good-looking. They would make a fun gift for a homesick friend or maybe a college student.

Both my parents grew up in California (I was born there too) and we would drive from Utah to California several times a year. As we approached the state line my family would break out into the chorus of California Here I Come. I LOVED that. Seeing the California poster reminded me. : )

Spotted on Design Crush.

P.S. — More state pride: pillows and cutting boards. Plus a paint by number USA.

Thanks for the great links! I’ve been meaning to buy one of those state cutting boards (Say Yes to Michigan!) and this is a great reminder.

Oh, I wish she had more of them! I’ve lived in a few different states and it would be really fun to have a print of each place I’ve lived. :)

If I were you, I would totally make a request. Maybe the artist wants to do one for all 50 states but needs some motivation. : )

I love the state prints! Just emailed the 1 canoe 2 asking for more states – washington – and if she does custom colors. Thank you for this post! Obsessed now!

Love those prints! Your post reminded me of road trips to visit family when I was a kid. I grew up in Indiana and whenever we returned home and crossed the state borders our family would sing, “Back home again, in Indi-ANA!” (from state song.)

Oooh, hope she puts up a TN or OH or AK one soon, then I can get one from every state I’ve lived in (well, she does have GA, so I could start with that one!). What a great, great idea for a gift, too. I think I’ll have to purchase the Virginia one for my sister-in-law…

Thanks for always providing such wonderful links!

My Mom grew up in California, and my parents met in Oakland. We used to sing the same song whenever we’d drive out to visit my grandparents! It brings back good memories!

I’ll be watching this Etsy site for a Colorado print.

I was also born in California. Not a Texan by birth, but by the Grace of God is what I always say. Off to buy some Lone Star prints!

I LOVE these! My husband and I are native Oklahomans and are expecting our first baby, who will be a Texan. (We’ve been here for about 10 years and it has grown on us!) I think I need both… and so reasonably priced!

I love being British.

But these prints make me wish I was American :)

I love the Midwest–friendly people, low cost of living, all four seasons…but the Missouri print has a big ugly flower on it! ;)

The state prints are very cool. I could see buying one for each state I’ve lived in.

They would look nice in a guest bedroom or hallway.
