June is Walking!

August 16, 2011

Fun news at the Blair house: Baby June took her first steps yesterday. Hooray! June is 15+ months, which means she was in no hurry to walk, but it’s still too fast for me. Please don’t grow up, sweet baby. : )

Seriously on that face? That is one cute photo, one cute photo indeed. Those little teeth and that beautiful grin with those big eyes, melts a mamma’s heart I’m sure :)

I hear ya! My youngest (and I’m guessing last,) is 19 months and I’m savoring every last baby-like element. He still has those yummy roly poly baby thighs. So hard to believe my lean, mean 5 year old boy-machine used to have that body type.

How fun! My little guy also waited to venture out on his own two feet until after he was 15 months. Now he is 18 months (today!) and hasn’t looked back. Don’t you just want to save each and every stage forever?

We are right there with you. Our son will be 16 months on the 20th, but he started walking about 2 months ago. He is into EVERYTHING!!!
But this age is so much fun!! Enjoy!

I, too, have a 15 month old and feel the same way. Those sweet toddles across the hardwood make my heart burst. Love the shot of just the hand on the tub…sweet and special.

My son (born April 30, 2010…so almost the same age as June) started walking at 15 months too! I agree–it’s too soon.

That is probably one of the most beautiful baby bath pictures I’ve ever seen! Congrats on the walking, June…and chasing, Mum, Dad, and siblings, too!

These are the sweetest pictures. I think as a parent you want these moments but at the same time they are bittersweet. Congrats on your first steps Miss. June.

Congrats Miss June! I am sure you’ll now have even more fun with your siblings.
My daughter is a couple weeks older than June and is very close to walking but so far no cigar. I can’t believe they are growing this fast.

Hooray for you, Junie B. Of course you didn’t need to hurry. You have a whole family of people who love you and are happy to carry you. : )

*sigh* so fun, and sad. there should be a term for that (bittersweet doesn’t work for me).
…and…Genes always wow me- I mean, of course siblings look alike! but it always totally amazes me seeing one persons face in another. Your children are no exception! Great shots of June’s shayna punam and fingers.

June looks so cute in the bath! Congrats on the walking, what a huge milestone. I keep nuzzling & snuggling my 18 month old & my husband keeps saying he wishes they’d stay this small forever :-).

Shirlene was telling me about you yesterday at the pool, but she didn’t say that you have a June! I love your names, no kidding they were all on our list (but I’m not brave enough to use six of them). My June is 3, and my man wanted to name the baby Betty (I won out with Georgia).

And great pics, what a lovely blog.

My youngest was 16 months when he walked alone. He lived on my hip up to that point. ;D

she’s adorable. Like you, my baby Max is 15mos+ and was in no hurry to walk. Nor was I in a hurry. He had the MOST adorable little speed crawl – that I just said to my husband last night – “don’t you miss seeing baby bear buzz around the house crawling?” to which he responded “no.”. :) must be a mommy thing! the thing that connects us all!

here’s to enjoying the last of the baby milestones together!

best – d

O my goodness I remember when her pregnancy was announced, I was thirteen at the time and was so excited about the Blair’s lovely new addition. Now I am fifteen years old and the fact that angelic June is walking helps me remember how important it is remember how fast time flies

Belated congratulations on Baby June’s milestone. Speaking of milestones, my 8 yo son mastered bike riding yesterday — seems every accomplishment is cause simultaneously for celebrating and wistfulness. Beautiful to see them grow, sad to see baby/childhood slipping away.
