A Few Things

May 13, 2011

Hello, Friends! I am back at my desk today after a quick trip to Sweden. It was a work trip, so I didn’t get to do much sightseeing, but it was hard not notice that that the entire population of Stockholm looks like super models. So gorgeous! All this recent travel has been fun, but I’m officially exhausted and all I want to do this weekend is sit in our beautiful garden. How’s the weekend shaping up for you? Busy or laid back?

While I a day dream about a lazy Saturday, here are a few things I’ve been wanting to share with you.
- Pinwheels are the happiest wheels.
- Big creativity in a tiny nursery.
- The world is so pretty.
- Have you tried Flipboard?
- Mmmm. Homemade rootbeer.
- Dresser turned kitchen island.
- Uh oh. Are we ready for this?
- I would live here in a heart beat.

I also write for Babble.com. Here are this week’s links:
- These win today’s cute prize.
- If you’re going with evites, here are some stylish options.
- It’s a party in a box!
- Arctic and Jungle are my favorite. But forest and ocean are great too.
- Rad. You’ve never seen animals like this.

And I want to thank you for all your sweet comments this week. Thanks for celebrating June’s first birthday with me and thanks also for the amazing egg ideas. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I’ll meet you back here on Monday. I miss you already.

kisses,
Gabrielle

loved the nursery. we kept baby boy in his own space, but i do love the idea of a “masculine” color for a girl. i am going to do navy and lavendar if number 2 (not now, but some day) is a girl.

i took a trip to scandinavia a few years back, working my way from denmark to norway to sweden. and, although i served a mission in denmark, i couldn’t help but admit that the most gorgeous people on the planet are swedish! there must be something to their bone structure, right? i oogled the entire time i was there. :)

I would love to support our local artists. There is a man who is using a small office space owned by my boss as his studio. His artwork is fantastic, and he has shown me his pieces. I want to save my pennies as well, and purchase one of his beautiful paintings.

I love that artists find whatever spaces they can to work in. It feels so bohemian.

It was great to see you in Sweden. I hope you will make your way back and check out a few more of the fabulous places you didn’t see!

The week’s highlight was meeting you in Stockholm. Enjoy your weekend and as I’m writing this post weekend: was thrilled to mimic baby June’s balloons in blue color wheel for our son’s 10th. Thank you for your impeccable presentation. If you return, return for the mid-night sun — longer hours by which to gaze at the locals!

No! I am absolutely NOT ready for long butt jeans! That is a recipe for disaster!

I am a wee bit jealous of your trip to Sweden. That is my dream location to visit. And about the bone structure of all the beauties- it’s all the milk and the vitamin A & D derived from it! The research done by Weston A Price in Sweden is really fascinating!
