Old Navy Giveaway

I can pretty much guarantee you’ll love today’s giveaway. Old Navy is the sponsor and they’re offering a $150 gift certificate. Sweet! It’s all to celebrate their Kids & Baby Sale, featuring terrific deals as low as $5.

Kid clothes have been on my mind because I spent a decent amount of time figuring out what everybody was going to wear for the plane trip last week. When we’re traveling — on roadtrips or airplane trips — I want my kids to be super comfy, but I also want to make sure they look as adorable as possible. It seems like fellow airplane passengers, or fellow customers at roadside restaurants, are friendlier (and more patient) if my kids look well kept.

So I look for clothes with patterns and bright colors (like the items above), that are more likely to hide drips and spills. What about you — how do you dress your kids for traveling?

This post made me think of my Uncle Don who bemoans today’s air travel and how so many people wear sweats and t-shirts and look terribly frumpy. He misses the days when people dressed smartly for air travel – like it was truly something special. I try to remember this when we travel. Nothing pressed exactly, but definitely looking nice.
