The Intersection of Design & Motherhood
Rachel, of the darling shop Darlybird, made the cutest dollhouse for her girlies. She converted bookshelves using pretty papers and little found objects. She says,”I scoured thrift stores, dollar stores, ebay, and craft stores for things I could use; a huge portion of the dollhouse accessories were items not intended for dollhouses.” You can see lots of photos and all her tips and instructions here.
So smart! And such a great project for Christmas.

We've used our base in France to do lots of traveling. It's addictive! Here are some of our adventures:
A trip to Amsterdam.
Canoeing on the Dordogne River.
A Belgian Waffle Tour.
A wintery visit to Cologne.
Three cheers for Barcelona!
The tulip fields in Holland.
We saw the final match of the French Open.
One of our favorite spots is Mont St. Michel.

Perfect timing! Just embarked on Extreme Makeover: Dollhouse Edition with the 35-year-old dollhouse my parents built for me, rehabbing it for my daughter’s birthday.
Thank you for this post! I’ve had a darling dollhouse sitting on my living room floor that I bought for ten bucks at a yard sale just waiting for someone more clever than I to offer inspiration and instructions! Darlybird’s is just lovely.
