Marta makes such pretty things. She recently designed a series of postcards called the The Penpal Project. It’s her new creative collaboration featuring photos from two friends living 1000 miles apart. What a fun idea! Both friends share an interest in baking and simple living.
I’d love to put these postcards on an inspiration board. But those cookies are making me hungry. : ) Do you ever send postcards? They’re so fun to receive!
P.S. — Did you know it’s American Craft Week? What a perfect excuse to support all our favorite makers out there — you can even make a handmade pledge to show your devotion.

i really love those postcards! the photos are simply beautiful. thanks for sharing.
I love them! They are so beautiful and yummy!
What a beautiful idea! We send many postcards around here. When I’m without the fam, I send a postcard to my kids. When we all go, we send postcards to the grandparents. And I always send postcards back to my office mates. We work in a basement with no windows in our office. So we made our own – a whole wall covered in postcards from the travels of friends and family.
Snail mail rocks!
Snail mail warms my heart. Have you tried Postcrossing? It’s a fun way of sending and receiving postcards to strangers all over the world. A fantastic way to teach geography and culture to children too. http://www.postcrossing.com/
Enjoy!
I love sending postcards…and receiving them, of course. I love sending notes, cards, letters. I recently put together a teeny tiny scrapbook (only 5.99 ea. at an online photo book site) and my friends “sent” me squeals of delight for reminding them of our girlfriends weekend a year ago. Isn’t it fun to send mail?!
love this. i make a lot of postcards (photos of the kids/their drawings etc) b/c i love to send postcards. my pal weston & i have been sending postcards for nearly 20 years, almost all of kisses, los angeles to northampton.
we have boxes & boxes of correspondence ;-)
This is such a great idea, especially for our distant cousins; so much more fun than an email and cheaper than a package. I wonder how I could make my own postcards from photos? Maybe an online photoshop offers postcard printing…
Oh, I love these. Thanks, Gabrielle!
love it!
