Ben Blair was on a flight last month and his seatmate was filling in one of these coloring books by Phil Lewis. He said it looked like lots of fun and we should add it to our list of gift ideas. I totally agree. Would your kids like something like this? Would you?

WOW! I love it! Its very similar to what iI like to draw. I never thought about a coloring book, but this is fabulous… I might have to invest in a few :)
Thanks for sharing!
How amazing! love this stuff!
Gorgeous! I totally need to get one! Or two!
I would LOVE it. Not sure my almost 5-year-old would be into it, but I definitely would.
Perfect for fine motor skill development!
Earlier this year I made a series of tricky colouring in pages for my kindergarten girl to help with her writing.
I love coloring books. I think ALL adults should color at least once a week!
They look very like some of the coloring books I had in the 70s.
This looks so fun! I ordered one already!
I saw this coloring book on one your blogs a couple weeks back. Looks like something my mom would love…she says it relaxes her to color. Already put it on her gift list for this Christmas. It is a little pricey for a coloring book, but I’m pretty sure my mom will love it…so I think it will be worth it. Thanks for sharing…I’m continually looking to your blog for good gift ideas.
Oh, and I saw on your blog today about Caps for Good…I’m so excited, I’m going to try and teach my Activity Days girls to crotchet and hopefully our group can donate several caps. Thanks for sharing!!
oh my GOSH this looks so fun! My Housemates and I used to print out coloring pages to color together in the evenings while we were relaxing – these would have been perfect!
I still love to color. I would like to have this myself!
Ooo! My kids are definitely too you to appreciate, but I want this for ME! Off to make sure it’s added to my Christmas list!
LOVE!!
I totally agree that coloring is so relaxing – I would love something like this, but I know that my two girls (8 and 6) would love it too!
I remember buying those giant kits with magic markers on car trips with my parents. So fun and psychedelic!
Very cool. If you like these, you’ll like Sue Coccia (google her). My kids and I could spend hours coloring her things.
The title of your post totally grabbed me! My dad’s name is PHIL LEWIS!!! And he is the least likely candidate to spend any time with a coloring book (total engineer)! Too funny!
Hugs,
Linsey
Who’s got two thumbs and will be ordering a few of these? THIS GIRL!!!
Glad to know I’m not the only one who LOVES to color! It totally relaxes me. These would be great fun! I have a few geometric color books, my favorite.
I saw this last week and immediately put it on my Christmas list. I’m hoping that Santa will put a copy in my stocking. :)
I bought this online for my daughter – am saving it for stocking or hannukah (luck gal gets both). It’s nice. A bit heavy on the blacks. I also bought a cool little book to give her as a coloring book called My NYC Subway Sketchbook which is also cool and different (and for all I know I read about that here!)
I’ve been trying to teach my daughter the patience to properly color in between the lines — this could be perfect. I think at 5 she’s old enough to really appreciate the intricacy here. Of course, all she really wants to do is play with the Brushes app on my iPad!
FABULOUS find! oh yes, please :)
Um I want it. I love coloring :)
I would love it!
Oh wow! Want. Badly. Yes, I am a grown woman who still buys crayons and the occasional coloring book…for myself :)
that book is beautiful, a little too hard for my 4 year old but I would love it. We just found a new favorite coloring book it’s called Everyone Dreams of Peace Even When They Don’t http://smilingplanet.net/product/everyone-dreams-of-peace you should check it out. Smiling Planet makes awesome art work but they put it in practical things like plates (my fave) and coloring books (my son’s fave)
