Mad Hatter Baby Shower

September 15, 2010

Look at this darling baby shower! Sona said her pregnancy has been “the the most magical time of my life.” So her girlfriends helped her celebrate with a mad-hatted wonderland theme. The invitations, designed by Sherry, included an ‘open-me’ key and a note from the mysterious Queen of Hearts. Guests were asked to wear a hat (of course) — and the guest of honor wore a mini top hat by Two Back Flats.

There were mini teacups for favors and massive tea cups as flower pots. Ceramic kittens, bunnies and mushrooms covered in glitter. Fresh flowers arranged in tea kettles and cups. Even a candy station.

I’m sure Sona felt cherished and spoiled. How fun!

What a cute theme! Everything was beautiful. I especially love the invitation. Who wouldn’t love to get an invitation like that? It would surely make you excited to go to the party. I also love the “eat me” note on the cupcakes, too cute!

I love this idea! I’ve been trying to decide what to do for my Girl’s first birthday. I love the idea of a Mad Hatter Party. And I can totally see my 4 year old playing the role of the actual Mad Hatter. : )

What a darling shower! I love the tree, and the teacup planters – but that red chandy is amazing! I want one of those!
