I think this is going to be a great weekend. Ben Blair and I have tickets to see Vampire Weekend at Red Rocks tonight. So excited! Although it’s our first time leaving Baby June, so I’m also a little nervous… Tomorrow, we have plans to take the kids to Rocky Mountain National Park (Man. I love National Parks!). On Monday, we’re hoping to tackle some projects around the house. What about you? Anything interesting planned for the long Labor Day weekend?
While I make a list of potential projects for Monday, here are a few things I’ve been wanting to share with you:
-Still warm enough for popsicles.
-Great pieces in the BlogHer/Kirtsy art auction.
-I wish I could attend Jordan & Paul’s Cake Show.
-It’s National Sewing Month! Katy is celebrating all month long.
-This neat family threw a summer ball.
-Wow! 75% off at Kayce Hughes through midnight tonight.
-A cherry party.
-Donate $1 and save the world.
-This image by Chelsea feels so romantic.
-What a cool vintage knapsack.
-Let’s rent this house.
-Neon and wildflowers.
-Don’t forget! My Julian & Co giveaway is still open.
I write a daily post for Babble’s Family Style blog. Here are this week’s posts:
-The coolest playmat ever!
-Luxe iPad covers
-A gorgeous robe
-Handmade batik tees
-Onesies that benefit children’s charities
Happy Labor Day! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I miss you already!
kisses,
Gabrielle

We have the Zoku popsicle maker and it’s fabulous. You can pump out six popsicles in less than fifteen minutes (perfect for you!).
We’ll be at the show too. Maybe we’ll see you guys!
Thanks for the link, Gabrielle! Have a great weekend!
Vampire Weekend is so great live! Have a marvelous time!!
Would love to see how you liked the show! We are going when they come here in October! So excited, I love them.
Best,
Tina
Have fun at RMNP! It’s my favorite park. Stop by the Trailridge store and say hello to my co-workers. Buy the kids some of their chocolate milk. It’s from a local dairy and oh my heavens. It’s the best chocolate milk I’ve ever tasted. Plus it’s super cheap. Ridiculously so. (I also highly recommend the coleslaw. And they make a mean chai tea latte if it’s chilly! Wait, isn’t it always chilly up there?)
Vampire weekend AND red rocks?! that is perfection colliding. SO JEALOUS. think of me. even though you don’t reallllllly know me, think of me anyway.
I think I need one of those popsicle makers. Maybe for next summer? And I can’t wait to show my hubby that house. He is a design junkie who majored in architecture and then got s job working in software. He loves stuff like that.
We just saw Vampire Weekend this last week in Portland – they are so good live! You’ll have tons of fun!!
Those Popsicles look yummy, perfect as it is really warming up here in Oz now that it is Spring. It seemed that the weather was on cue – as soon as it was September 1 we had 82 degree day!
The Cake Exhibition looks like it will be amazing. I really want one of the paintings! Will have to see if there are any left after the opening and if they can ship to Australia.
i look forward to your Friday posts especially much :)
I do want to rent that house. Tomorrow! :)
Thanks and have a great weekend.
Have a fun weekend ! Its tough leaving a new baby behind …but I am sure you will have a great time !

you all look sooo cool, and the striped outfit of one of your girls is OH SO CHIC!!
i’m a swiss mum, a huge kids-fashion-addict, and this kind of family portrait just makes me happy :-)
I know sewing is not on your top 10 list of enjoyable activities, and perhaps it’s even on your bottom 10 list, but thank you for mentioning my month long Sewing Celebration anyway!
lucky ducks on seeing Vampire Weekend!
We just returned from Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks! We love National Parks, too!
Oooooh, I love Vampire Weekend. Hope you were able to relax & enjoy the concert and not think about dear June EVERY single moment…
Love love love the links for this week!! I love the tags and invites for the summer ball and that cherry party is absolutely adorable!! I love the wild rose image by Chelsea! It gave off a cozy feeling!!! I love the Julian & Co. giveaway (I hope I win Ha!)! That street mat (rug) is awesome!!! I’m actually looking for one for my son too! I love the onesies that give back too!!
No long weekend here. .. just wishing for more sunshine and warm weather. I have challenged myself to a week with no denim though… since I seem to wear it a bit. See the first day here.
