Now that the birthday festivities are complete, Ben Blair and I are trying to come up with something fun to do this weekend — something momentous to celebrate the big news. Any ideas? While we brainstorm, here are a few things I’ve been wanting to share:
-I want this image by Chelsea Fisher (above) in my kitchen.
-My favorite housewares in the world. I featured them at Cafémom.
-CatalogLiving is hilarious. My favorite is Bon Voyage. (thanks, Danielle)
-Only 5 more people and the Eco-Me CliqueShop deal is on! Act fast, only 12 hours left.
-I’m kind of obsessed with SuperAdobe.
-Gorgeous rings — they’re made of soap!
-A vintage Airstream Camper makeover.
-Toddler portraits painted by the mother.
-Nie Nie’s back to school feast.
-What end of summer looks like.
-The cuteness! A 3 year old recites a Billy Collins poem. (thanks, Bridgette)
I write a daily post for Babble. Here are this week’s posts:
-this gift will be the hit of the baby shower
-beaded pacifier clips
-preppy lunch bags
-Woah. This portrait was embroidered!
-Who needs an iPad when you can have a MePad?
Have a great weekend! I’ll see you back here on Monday. I miss you already.
kisses,
Gabrielle

we always loved going here for celebrations (when we lived in boulder) – http://www.flagstaffhouse.com/
ps – thx for posting about our airstream remodel + MEpad.
cheers, jenny :)

woah, that picture is simply stunning.
have fun celebrating.
Rootdown! And a little toast with a “Contessa” Cheers! Congrats!! http://www.rootdowndenver.com
I love the soap rings… SO cute!
Thanks for the link to the Airstream! I always tell my hubby that if I’m going to go camping, I want a vintage Airstream to have fun in. Enjoy your weekend and celebrations. Cheers!
I love Catalog Living!! I laugh everytime! I also passed on the Airstream link to my fiance’s dad! He just obtained an airstream for free and it needs some MAJOR renovation but I’m sure it’ll be fun to go in once complete! Have a great weekend =)
You’ve got me obsessed with Superadobe now too! I’ve always had this crazy vision that someday in the future my family of big, strapping boys would find a secluded place and they’d build me a straw bale house and we’d hook up solar panels and bike powered generators and live for at least one month a year on our own power in a place built with our own hands. Hmmm… Superadobe may be even more doable than straw bale building…
I am so thrilled over your big news. Yeah you! A really nice dinner out is always my first choice in celebrations. That or a really awesome massage while someone else watches the kiddos. I recommend flying to Salt Lake and going to Kura Door. Congratulations again and again!
Super congrats, Gabrielle! Keep up the great work :)
I just found you in Woman’s Day – what a great blog! And I love the gorgeous prego pics:)
Catalog Living, so funny. Thanks for all the fun Friday links once again!
You always have the best links! And I’m so glad you linked to nienie because apparently my rss for her wasn’t working and I was missing posts!
Steph
That is a great photo. Congrats on the news.
I returned to this gorgeous photo three times this weekend to get a big gulp of inspiration. It’s absolutely lovely. Hope I don’t mess up your site stats, ha!
Oh! And the toddler portrait made me laugh because a portrait of Wren would be mostly blurry, which would be a very fun painting exploration…
I know one thing you did this weekend. Thank you for coming and supporting the Arapahoe Acres Home Tour. I hope you enjoyed it. We had some amazing homes on the tour this year.
And congrats on your distinction! So cool.
We did the month-by-month iron ons, but my absolute favorite idea is Picky Sticky (shout out to local Seattle Etsy seller!)
They’re stickers so you don’t have to guess the size, and you don’t have to worry about changing a onesie…they go on whatever. And when you’re done, you just remove them, so you don’t have to answer the question “oh, 8 months I see” when in fact your child is 10 months, but still fits into an 8 month size.

Thank you sooooo much for the shout out!
great, great shot!!
