This made me smile. During naptime, Mila’s mom sets up a photo shoot around her. She guesses what Mila is dreaming about. Go see.
Thanks for the link, Steph. Also. These remind me of the work of Jan Von Holleben.

Posting this to my friend’s store Facebook Page. It’s precious. I’d never ever be so brave as to do this.
Brave is right. This is an idea for deep sleeping babies only. : )
oh my word!!! incredible!!!!!
I think it’s incredible too!
oh this is too sweet…love it! here’s to creative mamas!
I love that she says it’s her maternity leave hobby. Cute!
way too weird/anne gedes for me.
This is soooo sweet!! Can it be pulled off with 11 year olds?
Just kidding.
haha- that’s HILARIOUS! I’m sure she’d give you the evil eye in all the shots.
That is way too creative. I love it!
ah so cute!
It’s like the mom is visualising her baby’s dreams!
The second to last photo you posted is my very fave!! So precious. And also thanks to @sarahviola for sending the link to me!
My friend Jenny just had her first baby and she’s baffled that the Mom isn’t napping instead of taking photos. But I think if I had the same idea, I’d be addicted! Who needs sleep, right? :)
Steph
My thoughts exactly!
I think that almost brings a tear to my eye! Looking from the computer screen back to my 15 month old monkey cruising around, back to this precious sleeping, dreaming child. Time flies by! What a cool way to capture those first few weeks…naps like that don’t last very long:)
This totally made me giggle with joy! Now that my baby is 7 I don’t think I could get away with it. Maybe something to get creative with when dad is sleeping on the couch????
What a fun idea! Its a bit like a junior version of the Christmas card you guys made.
I may have to start interpreting Jane’s dreams…
I love this idea! Very cool photos!
Best thing I’ve encountered today, Gabby. I only wish I’d thought of it! (Well, and that I also had a baby who was such a deep sleeper to let me pull it off.)
mom’s are so creative. This is awesome. That Mila will treasure these forever.
Love it! If only my newborn (and his brother before him) would sleep unswaddled and without being held – ha!
Love it…will try it with my babe upon arrival…albeit I have much less confidence in my photo-setup abilities, especially while trying to keep baby asleep. The Thai/Indian inspired one is my fav.
And totally not creepy–Angela and the veggie tray in the Office–creepy, newborn dreams, not so much.
uh…rad!
oh. no. That is toooooo cute. My daughter was a super heavy sleeper for the first few weeks, anyway–we definitely could’ve pulled some of that off. These are well done and just totally awesome. If our little guy on the way turns out to be another heavy sleeper, I see some great potential for a creative birth announcement here.
How stinkin’ cute! And so creative!
so ballsy! one false umbrella placement & bye bye nap time.
How stinkin cute is this? Oh she had better patent this idea! She will have photographers all over the world copying this! So sweet!
I LOVE this soooo much!
O. M. G. I can’t get enough of these! How adorable!!!
Oh! My! GOSH! That is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!
This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!! I am so doing this to our next baby! I LOVE the one with the balloons and the grassy blanket. Precious!
HAHA, she’s rad! I love baby Mila’s “dreams.”
Love all of these! Makes you wonder what’s going on in that little mind!!
I LOVE this! Adorable!
I am simply in love with this post! I can’t wait to try this with my baby in December! It will have to be Christmas themed, of course :)
giggle poor baby
too cute though :)
I love it! Seeing a newborn’s sleeping face and cute little positions (hands over head) produces such an immediate wave of nostalia. This reminded me immediately of Jan von Holleben’s work that you posted about a long time ago. We set up some of our own trick photog with the four oldest kids once, but didn’t even bother trying with the baby!
Oh I love that she is photographing her little one’s dreams…just adorable.
I love this idea. Her dreams are so vivid and exciting! What a lucky girl!! What a creative mom!!
TOO awesome-thanks for sharing!!
This is simply amazing. I’m simultaneously inspired and rendered completely dull for settling for nothing more than a sleep-sack for my son for all those months.
Cheers,
Anne
amazing!!! I would love to do some like that of my own children! i love this idea!
AWE – some!
Oh wow! I love this idea and would love to do this with my own children (when I have them! lol)
Oh, what fun! Such a great idea (and a paper plate for an astronaut helmet!).
This is amazing, especially at that age when all we think about is getting more sleep or doing the laundry or cleaning up when baby is finally fast asleep, lol!
Here’s to creative moms out there!
Those are fantastic. Beautiful keepsake. How about those brown highwaisted bollywood pants on that sweet little girl….love them! Do you know where to get those?
Oh my, those are unspeakably cute. I love them all, and I’m especially crazy for the balloon one. So creative and lovely! ~Heidi
I love the candy dream and the indian theme, very creative, I wish I was so clever, I was usually just checking email when my babes were sleeping…
these are just the sweetest things! they remind me of those stop motion kindle ads… haha
oh wow– this is just beautiful. It’s like Inception for babies!
absolutely darling!
I love this. I am marking her site for my “Friday Favorite.” So creative. Are you planning on doing this with June?
what a fun mom! brilliantly creative idea! i very much enjoyed the photos
Oo, oo, oo! I LOVE it!! That’s it – I’m going to have to do that when I have the next one… I’ll have to conjure up some imagination before then too… What a very clever and wonderful lady Mila’s mummy is! x
my son would say “gaw-jus”!
thats gorgeous.
i saw a commercial or video like this recently.
very very cute.
Very cool (my favorite is the bookworm). And yes, I was immediately reminded of Jan Von Holleben’s Dreams of Flying book!
What a wonderful and sweet idea!
LOVE THIS.
This is the cutest! What a great idea!
How cute are those pictures of Mila! I can so imagine the fun mom has doing the styling. Thank you!
I could look at these all day! They are amusing and adorable – I wonder if she owns all the pretty textiles and items she uses . . . what a colorful home she must have.
OMGoodness this is the cutest thing I have ever seen My kids are one and three i’m thinking about it…and we just had a niece born who lived two house down from me I think i’m going to have to steal her for a couple of hours…
Seriously genius idea and its makes the photo looks like postcards and very professional :)
that’s funny, someone just sent me the link to her site on facebook. something about this styles appeals to me so much. they are so beautiful, clever, intuitive and imaginative. it reminds me of your christmas card from a few years back. i loved that too.
