Annily Green Pillows

July 20, 2010

I’ve been craving change in my house (do you think it’s the summer doldrums?). Sometimes, something simple like new pillow covers will do the trick nicely. I like the fun offerings from Annily Green. The Beep Pillow made me laugh.

What do you do when you’re craving change?

P.S. — Know what else makes me laugh? This series of Tips for Not Very Good Homemakers from Kacy. (The tips are actually totally useful. But everything Kacy writes makes me laugh.)

Thanks for the shout out. And thanks for not lecturing me about feeding my kids apricots.

No one will ever get food lectures from me.

Unless it’s a lecture about how much I like Sour Patch Kids.

I have been craving change for quite some time . . . I’ve been wanting to paint, but my ceilings are so high I would need a scaffolding to get to the tops. We’ve been in this house for three years, and I’m ready for some fresh paint and carpet. Maybe new window treatments.

Scaffolding? That would be quite the project. But there’s nothing like a fresh coat of paint to make a room feel brand new.

So maybe I know both of these people and I’m a little biased, but I also own a few of Annie’s pillows and they are perfect. Pretty and well made.

I have to share the tips for not-good-homemakers on my blog….as soon as I have a power cord for my laptop and am not just trying to keep up with the interwebs on the iPhone! I also love the beep pillow!

I love that Beep Pillow. I’m going to have to add that to my wishlist.
And I cannot thank you enough for pointing me in Kacy’s direction! That post has changed my life…or made me feel less like a freak. Either way, she’s got one more follower here!

Isn’t Kacy wonderful? She’s one of the funniest writers out there.

wow, i am also loving those tips. the fact that laundry is absolutely unending – even after spending all day doing it there will be more dirty clothes in the evening when we change for bed – is something i am just sort of coming to terms with.

i’m with her on the bananas and the interpreting things better too. thanks for sharing.

The “interpreting things in your favor” advice is brilliant.

Gabby, what color couch do you have? Is it easy to mix and match pillows with it? I have been struggling with the whole couch dilemma.

Hi Amy! I have a few different couches. The one I new pillows in mind for is a light neutral — somewhere between beige and brown.

I’ve bought pillow covers from her. I love them and I want more. They really add color and texture to my boring living room.

Oh good grief. Katy is hilarious. She’s going in my reader right now.

I’m feeling the decorator itch. I think it’s because we’ve been in the house almost a year and I really haven’t done much since we moved in. We have a 9 month old (9! Already!) and there are still zero framed photos of her around here. Time to fix that…

Gah! Kacy! Not Katy! Kacy! Sorry Kacy…
