Reclaiming Summer

June 30, 2010

Kelly of Make Grow Gather is trying her best to reclaim the summer feeling of her childhood. Isn’t that a fun goal? She’s got all sorts of great lazy summer content going on. Food, crafts and an occasional guest post in the mix. I contributed an imagined “perfect summer day” here. You can find all the summer posts from her main page.

Love your post over at Make Grow Gather. I love her site and the idea of enjoying a lazy summer? Brilliant and timely, no? Your colorful photo of rocking chairs is pure delight. Aaah, summer.

You’re going to need a tiny rocking chair for baby June.

Beautifully written. The picture it evoked was perfect. Summery. I do have a teeny tiny rocking chair but no babies. I’m thinking of sending it your way :) thinking…

Excellent. Reminds me of the days of my youth. Our lives are more like my husbands youth – more out in the country. No neighbors. But plenty of summer fun.

STILL love your rocking chairs. I think they are what originally brought me to your blog.

Oh- that was a lovely post. Especially the part about enjoying the voices of the children. The soundtrack to our lives, no?

Ever since I saw this a year ago, I’ve wanted to make these but didn’t have the space. As I prepare, for my son’s birthday I have a version of these up my sleeve. I’m so excited and really appreciate your constant inspiration: http://bit.ly/q1ZQL5
