Hello Friends! How was your weekend? Mine was great. We cleaned out the garage and did a whole bunch of yardwork with perfect weather as a background. Highly satisfying. But I have a confession: in my head, our baby was totally going to arrive this weekend. I don’t know remember why I got these dates in my head, but I was pretty surprised to wake up this morning still pregnant. : ) (And no, I’m not even due till May 12th.)
For now, I will have to content myself with searching for adorable baby bloomers. There are so many cute ones! Like these, these, and these. I ordered these floursack bloomers last week. Aren’t they sweet?
What did you do this weekend?

I love that you posted some sites for bloomers! My husband has recently become an “admirer” of bloomers, and he thinks they are a necessity for little girls to look “tidy” and “professional” (I know, his adjectives lack verve, but he’s a math lawyer – I know what he means!) If we have a girl, this is at the top of his list of must-haves!
The baby is waiting for a Mother’s Day surprise… maybe???
How fun would it be if you had a Mother’s day baby :) Love the bloomers. Best wishes.
These are so adorable and I love the colors. I wish you a speedy labor and recovery!
LOVE bloomers! I’ve been lamenting the fact that my toddler is too old/big to wear them. But designmom saves the day! The floursack bloomers in your post are sized up to 36mo. Yippee!
Thanks!
LOVE those! Thanks for posting! I stayed in all weekend trying to avoid the flood waters! I was due May 16th but my baby came on April 24th. Soooooo glad he chose last weekend instead of this one! We would not have been able to make it to the hospital in Nashville! Phew!
I sure hope your labor and delivery go great, with no floods of any kind! :)
Oh my goodness I love these!!
Funny you should ask what I did this weekend… I went to an amazing trunk show for Clover NYC at Little Bean in Dallas. I love the independent kid’s designers!! I blogged all about it: http://hellosplendor.blogspot.com/2010/05/in-case-you-missed-it.html
I just ordered Ivy these long bloomers/knickers/gypsy pants from Tea Collection – love them! http://www.teacollection.com/product/G012054/Girls-capris-Solid-Cropped-Gypsy-Pant.html
This weekend we went to the farmer’s market, church, and watched THREE movies! It’s Complicated, Crazy Heart, & Up In The Air. ( I loved Crazy Heart the most!)

I Love all of these!! I just ordered two pairs of these http://www.etsy.com/listing/45692068/day-bloomers-cotton-candy-pink
I have the white ones already and Love love them!! The flour sack ones are adorable too. will have to try them out! Good Luck!
I have some just like the ones on the first site…they’re actually diaper covers like for using with cloth diapers! I mean, you can use them for lots of things because they’re ADORABLE, but they’re also waterproof and breathable to cover the absorbent part of a cloth diaper. They make them longer as pants or shorts too…super cute diapers, if you ask me! It makes laundry really easy because you wash the inside absorbent part each time, but the cover (wooly part) you can use over and over. They’re so great!
You should google the Got Milk ad that Rebecca Romijn did with her twins – One of the babes is wearing the most adorable diaper cover/bloomer.

I can’t find out where it’s from but its adorable. If anyone knows where this specific set is from..i’d love to know!
Too cute! I think it’d be fun to have adult size :). Hee hee.
With my third baby, I thought for sure she was going to come early. I struggled getting to my due date with a positive glint in my attitude, but then once her due date came I began to feel like I had the whole world in my hands. Nobody expected me to do anything. I had no commitments and plenty of time to get anything and everything done. I read books to my other kids, went to the park and just had a great time. When she came 10 days late, I was so glad to have her, but part of me was wishing she would stay in just a couple more days. I hope you get lots accomplished with this “extra” time you have now.
Like all Nashvillians I was bailing water. Keep checking your blog to see if there is any news. My sister is due at the same time as you. I wonder if you will both have them on the same day.
Aw, you know the wool bloomers are cloth diaper covers, right? The lanolized wool is waterproof!
I love, love these cute little bloomers! Every baby needs a pair! When I say every, I mean EVERY! Even those sweet baby boys can pull them off.
It will be so exciting to hear about your new family member :)
This weekend we took advantage of the free day at the Denver Art Museum. They revamped their look, moved their cafe & store, and have loads of fun activities for kids. It was a great way to spend my sunny Denver morning!
Cute bloomers!
Thanks so much for including my “bloomers” on your site! Best wishes on your impending little one. :)
Striped! Knitted! Green and turquoise! AND great for boys… I love bloomers so much that I may have been known to put my son in bloomers that were less than masculine ;)
Will take a trip over to tomboyknits to check out more…
I have just discovered your wonderful blog Gabrielle, I will be back!
Also, congratulations on your pregnancy and impending birth.
