I’m 37 weeks (out of 40) today — so I’m rounding up and telling everyone I’m 8 1/2 months. And I am clearly filling out this dress to the absolute max. I should definitely be wearing the next size up, but I’m so close to done that I’ve stopped buying maternity clothes. Is it too scandalous? Also. I had my roots colored on Monday and my hairdresser gave me a blowout. What do you think? Do you like the straight hair?
The dress was a gift from the ladies at Babes with Babies. They sent me the sweetest package. A trio of luxurious balms and what has turned out to be my favorite maternity dress in the whole world. It’s called the Avalicious and it’s made from the softest material. I love it because the gathering at the tummy looks great at a few months in, and still looks good when it’s completely filled at 8 1/2 months in. (Plus I dig the asymmetrical hemline — I’m admiring it in the second photo.)
The packaging made me happy. Pretty boxes and grosgrain ribbon — but best of all, they add dried rosebuds! Such a pretty touch. I’ve felt so spoiled this pregnancy. Every time a friend suggests a baby shower, I just laugh and change the subject.

The outfit that the woman in the middle is wearing, the purply-soft something, looks incredibly comfortable. Like something I would try to figure out how to wear outside of the house!

Wow. I know I shouldn’t but I can’t help but compare. I’m about 5 months along – due in August – and I swear my belly is that size right now. Guess it’s since I’m pretty short? Anyway, this means you look awesome for being 81/2 months! And the blow out looks great, too.
