I absolutely LOVE these. My dad gave my daughter a little stuffed dog for her first Christmas and I (with my infamous shortsightedness) passed it along to Goodwill a year or two later. When Dad died I was frantic trying to find another one for her, at least to recreate the memory somewhat, but unfortunately couldn’t find another. It wouldn’t have been the same anyway. But one of these paintings would be the perfect way to keep Pup-pup and Grandpa close.

There’s no way to capture the musty, comforting smell that my daughter so loves, but Jennifer sure seems capable of depicting the fading, well-loved look of her more favorite thing in the world (in fact, I think I come in second to “piggy”)!
