Hello Gabrielle. Inspired by you and a few others, I have entered the world of blogging, and am wondering how you got started in it as a business? How do you get sponsors? What are typical rates? Great questions, Alisa! I actually get asked this sort of thing frequently, and have hesitated to get into the details on my blog, because my content isn’t really business focused. But. Just the other day, Anna of ABDPBT interviewed me about this exact topic and she posted the article here.

I’m one of *those* readers who don’t mind the ads. It’s true. Because you’ve already curated them, they fit well and I DO actually click through unlike on some sites where the ads are absolutely irrelevant to the content at hand. Keep on, keepin’ on.

I wanted to say thank you for answering Anna’s questions & being so helpful.
So having just read through Anna’s article at ABDPBT, I have one follow-up question… HOW do you get a count of # of Google subscribers? I thought that was a very interesting statistic and now I’m curious to measure my own blog. But I can’t figure out how to do it through Google/reader! It’s got to be easy though, right?
