I’m Wild For You Valentine

This is what we’ve been working on for 8-year-old Olive’s valentines this year. I think they’re turning out cute, no? My favorite is the hippo shouting “Hippo Valentine’s Day!” But I need your opinion: do we prefer the wild animals featured in the little cellophane bags? Or do we like them attached directly to the card with craft thread? I can’t decide.

Also. I’m coming up short on a little valentine message for these animals: rhino, tiger, zebra, giraffe. So I’m going with a neutral “I’m wild about you Valentine” for those four. If you think of anything brilliant, I’d love to hear it. UPDATE: Loved your ideas! Thanks for all the help.

SECOND UPDATE: Your wish is my command. Click here to download a 4-page pdf featuring both versions. (Nothing fancy. Not even crop marks. But hey, they’re free.)

Thank you for sharing this wonderful Valentine’s Day card idea! My boys and I just made 50 of them – and they are so excited to take them into school this week. Thank you!

Thank you for the great idea and of course the free print outs. I attached them to animal crackers instead, since my daughter is only 2 1/2, but still a hit with her class.

These are amazing! Is there a way to get them in a changeable format? I downloaded the PDF, but can’t change the sayings. I found some other animals that I want to add:

otter – You OTTER be my valentine!
reindeer – Happy Valentines Day, DEER!

There were others, but I can’t remember at this moment. :)

Thanks for this great idea! I was looking for a non-candy valentine for my son’s preschool class. Do you happen to have printables for a camel and bear? I am just short those two and I love the quotes you put with yours.

Thank you for sharing these. My daughter used them last year for Valentine’s Day. She liked them so much she wants to use them again this year! We did the ones without the bag.

Hi,
Love these and making now, but do you have the baggy labels in the card form?
