Audrey & Nic

August 11, 2009

On Saturday, we attended the most delightful wedding. Audrey and Nic celebrated their happy union in a pear orchard — a pear orchard located in the front yard of Nic’s home. Every detail was beautiful. Lanterns in the trees. A photobooth. Bubbles, bubbles everywhere. Cotton candy. A fully-loaded Baskin Robbins ice cream station. With a beautiful bride and handsome groom as the highlight.

Basically, any event where you can get this shot would have to be considered a rousing success:

My kids had a wonderful time. And so did I. And so did every other guest in attendance. Audrey, who has cared for my children on more occasions than I can count (most recently during the trip to Mexico) is beloved to our family. When you consider the happy, beautiful, kid-friendly reception she planned, it is easy to see why. Charming, creative Nic is her perfect match. Hooray for Audrey and Nic!

You can see more photos from the event on my flickr page.

We did waffle cones and ice cream at my sister's wedding three years ago and people are still talking about it. Such a fun way to celebrate a happy day.
