Heath Bar Cake

For those of you emailing me requests, here is Becky's Heath Bar Cake Recipe:

1 chocolate cake mix
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 small jar butterscotch topping (if you're a whiz in the kitchen, you could make your own)
12 ounces whipped cream

4 chopped Heath Bars

-Prepare the cake according to directions on package and bake in a 9x13 pan.

-While still hot, use a wooden spoon handle to poke holes in the top of the cake.

-Pour condensed mile evenly over the top, then pour butterscotch topping evenly over that.

-Sprinkle half the the chopped bars over the top.

-Refrigerate at least 3 hours.

-After refrigeration, spread whipped cream over cake, then sprinkle with remaining Heath pieces.

Shelby, the talented babysitter that has been helping me this summer, whipped this up for us on Monday. Mmmmmm.

I read your Birthday post about someone bringing over the ingredients for Heath Bar Cake but for some reason when I read today's blog title I read Health Bar Cake. My first thought was, WOW! She's found a great looking cake that is actually good for you! Then I read the recipe and realized my error. Oh well! Will be making it regardless. :)

You know the "real" name for that cake right? Better than s.e.x. cake. Yummy.

YUM! I was craving this (with Twix instead of Heath) last night :) I would drink more milk if it all said 'sweetened condensed' on the label.

One of our favorites, too...except we call it by its more provocative name.

This cake sounds delicious. I'm a big Heath Bar fan. Feel like I am taking a trip down chocolate kid lane by making it. Fun.

I misread your title ... and thought it said Health Bars... Well I nearly died laughing!!! At the condense milk and cream and well lets just say the ingredients didn't disappoint!!! These sound very good for one's emotional health anyway!!!

Better than sex cake is one of my mother-in-law's most famous recipes. We use a german chocolate mix instead of plain chocolate. SOOO good! I brought this to my nephew's one-year-old birthday, only I felt the title "better than sex" wasn't age appropriate, so I called it "better than breastmilk cake!" You should have seen all the disgusted looks I got, but after one bite it became an instant success!!

I am actually making that for father's day...but in the trifle version. It's not as dense. I also make the cake using just the mix and coke zero....tastes good and fewer calories :)
