Happy Birthday to Oscar!
Lots going on today with last minute trip preparations, but we've still got big plans to celebrate Oscar's big day. We'll have a family party tonight — with a Mexican theme of course. Including a classic donkey piñata (which Oscar keeps asking if he can ride) and tacos for dinner. Feliz Cumpleaños!
We started the day with breakfast in bed. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, blueberries and orange juice. A most wonderful tradition.
Oscar might be the most charming person I've ever met. I can't wait to see what his next year will bring.

The pictures of him having breakfast in bed is beautiful. I love how the tray is so big on his lap. He looks very content. Makes me want to go buy a breakfast tray for speacial ocassions.
Have fun! And the most charming boy around? ..What a great quality. He looks adorable. And fiestas are always fun!
I have to say that post on the Swiss cabin - that is design at its best. I love it! I will have to show my husband (who is an architect - that is exactly the kind of design he digs - he may have even seen it since he did a 9 mo. architectural study abroad a handful of years ago)

Such a great tradition of getting breakfast in bed on your birthday. Where did you get that red tray? So cute and functional!! Hope Oscar had a great birthday...tacos are my all-time favorite!!! Have a safe and fun trip....I am so envious!! :)

Hmmm I like this tradition. I may have to start it- but it may have to wait, my baby is only 4 months and may not understand nor appreciate this for a couple more years!
