These great “tactile” craft ideas are excellent and can easily be used by parents with children who have special needs. For example, children who need exposure to and practice with various textures, smells, colors benefit from hands-on learning. Crafts are also excellent for improving the child’s language skills, frustration tolerance, visual perception, and task sequencing. Thank you for combining design and motherhood.

Excellent advice, especially “don’t force it.” My mom and sister usually crafted away while I drank cocoa or hot tea and read a book. Everyone was happier!
