Wands of Wonders

July 20, 2007

Look how great the wand project turned out! My kids are sooo excited. And to make me extra-happy, all the materials were on hand.

Project notes: I didn’t have the pcv glue (what is that, anyway?) they recommended, so I just used some school glue I had on hand. Also, for paint I used common craft acrylic paint. The metallic parts are a combination of acrylic paint and permanent marker.

These would be perfect for any sort of wizard/witch-themed party.

They look absolutely fabulous! Takes me back to memories of my father who could make anything look wonderful for us. Have fun at the party.

Happy Harry-ing! Great little project. BTW, I’ve seen the rolled paper thing done on a much smaller scale to make beads for necklaces or Native American trim.

PVA is a generic (or formula…I don’t know which) name for the same thing as Elmer’s or school glue. Looks like you did have it on hand after all!
