Made by printmaking artist Lisa Price, you can throw these block printed towels right in your washer and dryer — they won't run or bleed. From Lisa's profile: I love the color reduction process and find it very meditative. My images are botanically based. I study a lot of old biology and plant books. I am particularly interested in the cross sections of plants and the body. My kitchen towels are my new project combining my love and need for printmaking, fabric, and home items.

Awhile back I listened to a midnight radio show where they were talking about the idea that our loved ones spend time around us after they've passed away. The following day as I sat at my studio table I glanced up at the picture of my grandfater long dead and gone. Not a man that I knew well, but I surely felt his loved. Just then a sweet little bird landed on the window sill and I thought "the spirits of love are among us like birds who sit at our windsills". From that I started making art with that saying on it and have been taken with birds ever since. I've not posted that art to my blog, but I guess I should.
