Window Silhouette
Last Halloween, I put up a simpler version of this in my living room window. We had just moved in and for the first time in our marriage had a lovely paned window. I covered each pane with a sheet of white paper then drew a simple ghost (much easier to draw than a witch on a broomstick) and trimmed the sheets where the ghost's outlines were. It's always nice to find a project that I can do spontanteously from beginning to end without going to the store.
I have 3 windows in the front of the house and my intention was to do all three windows with different ghosts, but I was too morning-sick to finish. And one ghost made my kids just as happy as 3 would have. The ghost looked especially good at night when it was backlit by our livingroom lamps. I also love this project because — like the apples — I can throw it away November 1st. Maybe I'll put 1 or 2 or 3 up this week.

I am so scared right now.
I use white contact paper for these kinds of ghosts. Really easy to cut out, stick and later throw away.
Jordan, my kids are all concerned about you. They know how terrified Halloween makes you.
Emily, I love the contact paper idea. So smart. No need to scrape off tape that's sort of cooked onto the window in the sun.
Sorry Aunt Gabby, this is off the subject, but when I visited this summer I remember that you had mentioned a store that sold "shade shirts" for a lot less than Shade does. Could you please tell me the name again?
