weird, but cool
Once my mom gave my children some LOUD noisemakers for Christmas.
I thanked her and explained to the kids they could play with the noisemakers everytime they came to Grandma's house because that is where they were going to stay.
I noticed the noisemakers disappeared after a visit or two.

Obnoxious IS the new cool!
